Just noticed Amazon.com now showing "Only 3 left in stock (more on the way)."

My box still showing for next Friday delivery.

It's kind of odd that they would be showing any as In Stock and available for purchase when there are still outstanding orders that need to be filled.

It wasn't supposed to be in stock at all until Tuesday. Who knows. This has been all mucked up.

  6. They probably have an exact count on the boxes coming in on Monday vs pre orders. Based on that there are only three left. With more in they way.

    Not odd.

I thought it was odd because it was showing "In Stock" when I looked a few minutes ago, which was impossible since they don't have stock yet.

Now, I see they changed it to "Available to ship in 1-2 days", which makes more sense.

Got mine from the Collector's Choice deal today!

I agree with sonofjim, above. After spot-checking the whole set, I'm very pleased, and I really hope to get some time to soak these in over the upcoming days.

    Some quick obeservations:

Mick's vocals sound very real and while some sibilance issues (like on "Shattered") have been corrected, the overall sound of each album sounds close to the original with the same sonic signature. It doesn't appear that there was any attempt to homogenize the sound across the LP's. They are what they were.

Overall I found myself doing more toe-tapping than trying to fiddle with knobs (ok, a slight backing off of the treble on Exile) to get things to sound better, and that's a good thing.

And call me nuts, because it's the same stampers, but Blue And Lonesome sounded oh-so-slightly smoother to me than the original pressing.

Great pressings overall and as others have said, a beautiful presentation.

Oh, one more thing, for those keeping score - no download card.

    $72 well spent.
Looking forward to checking this out, and doing some comparisons.
Thank you again to @Senor Muddy who first spotted the Amazon deal.

Finally, Amazon has charged me for $249. That sum includes shipping this beast to the swedish woods, and customs fees! Thank you.

Mick has original UK pressings of all these albums, hence him throwing this set around :D

Since the download wav files are 44.1/32, is it also the digital resolution used for the vinyl? Does anyone have the setup/interest to check that?

No. Myles had 24 bit 196k and I think 256k direct master copies to use.

So far managed to listen to 4 records from the Box (in this order): Voodoo Lounge, Sticky Fingers, Exile and Goat's Head Soup. Overall I like nice and smooth sound of the reissues. It is nice listening. Apart from VL which I do not have 1st press of, the sonics of these reissues does not contradict to my ears with the original UK 1st press although sonically it is sometimes quite different approach. I do not want to say that 1st press is better as there are many factors here. The best is to listen. SF is quite similar in sound in comparison to UK1P (2015 SF reissue was quite different), Exile and GHS differ from UK1P sonically but it is hard to pick the one I like better. Different does not always mean worse/better. These reissues are easy for the ears and it is a nice listening experience. Here is the sample of GHS 100 Years Ago of UK1P and 2018 reissue for you to listen and judge what sounds better to you. Actually I like both.

Has anyone else’s Tattoo You come with no credits sheet? I don’t know what the original came with. I have the inner with the photo of the animal hoof inside a stiletto, but no additional inner with credits. Surely the album isn’t meant to come with no information - no musician/producer credits etc. Please, other owners of this box, advise.
