Oh Mercy! Did I just see Bob Dylan selling cars in a Super Bowl commercial?

Sorry, just saw it and had to post about it. And the title of the thread should begin Oh Mercy. Whoops.

Sure was odd, I was reading a web page, my parents are sort of watching the game (well, they fell asleep) and I heard the voice. . . and thought. . .that's Bob!

 

First, I Want You playing in the Chobani Yogurt commercial and then Bob doing the Chrysler commercial.

 

He actually sold Cadillacs one year in a Super Bowl ad, am I correct? " Dreaming of You " was the song used on that one.

Did you catch I Want You on the Chobani commercial?

 

Yeah the yogurt thing was a surprise, but nothing compared to what was coming with the Chrysler thing. I know we have seen Bob in commercials before - but seeing him talking directly into the camera pitching a product (or at least an "attitude" that will make you want a product) was something I never thought I would see. I think it was a cool spot though - Bob is going to do what Bob wants to do.

 

Not so in to the "let Asia assemble your phone" dig.

 

yes that Chobani commercial was his first appearance with the Chrylser being his second. Are we going to get number three from the bob ?

I can't believe he did it. And it was real good.

 

Bob looks good and surprisingly, understood all he said!

It's kind of weird, Dylan selling stuff. I mean there's an unwritten rule about rock music and commercials. But Bob Dylan has the standing to get away with it. After all, he's always broken the rules....

 

He either lip synced or autotuned the words though. He's never that understandable these days.

 

My girlfriend says it looks like he's had botox and restlyn injections....
