To the chagrin of the family, I decided to set up my record collection in the dining room (who uses the dining room anyway?). I think its kinda catchy, a bit of a conversation piece for those who might swing by. Show us yours!!

Don't feel bad, some of mine has made it into the kitchen. Actually their isn't a room but the baths that doesn't have some sort of music connection.

Part of it anyway. The turntable is a lowly Technics and is off-camera. Someday I'll get a Rega. Built the cabinets myself as I couldn't find any standard bookshelves that were 13" x 13".

I don't have any fancy stuff on display, it's basically shelves in the closet, boxes on the floor, and more shelves here and there.

Those aren't Beatles Y&T records in the frames are they? They look too big.

Oh wow. The looked overlarge compared to what was below it. Congrats.

Oh wait, those albums below are not albums but pictures.

They're reel to reels, that's what's throwing you off.

How hard is it to find an "unpeeled" these days?

Here's what I have out in the family room. I have about six or seven Peaches crates in a closet and about six Rubbermaids being stored.

Depends on your area. I found one in NJ while I was on business for $25 bucks clean, doubt they knew what they had. There was also one while I was in Amoeba Records last month for business I think for $600 or so. Not sure quality, obviously not paying that.

And just to finish it off, my CDs. Eventually I want to get Leksvik for the lot of them, and get rid of the Benno stands.

Until just this year, most of this had been boxed up in my closet since 2010.

They're not rare. There's always a dozen or so on Ebay at any given time. If you don't want to pay full retail you could go the flea market/yard sale route. But to give you an idea of how uncommon they are, I've seen only 4 butchers in the 20 years I've been doing yard sales. Obviously, the bigger the population in the area you live in, the better the odds.
