First pic: Brian Wilson at the board with Carl looking over and BB's engineer Steve Desper looking on. I say around 1969.

Second pic: Bell Sound Studios, Lovin' Spoonful session, Tory Brainard, engineer.
Bell Sound was located at 227 West 54th Street, NYC. Long gone now, sad to say. Legendary recording studio.
Caption for pic two reads: "NEW YORK - SEPTEMBER 15: Engineers work in the studio while the rock and roll band 'The Lovin' Spoonful' recording their second album 'Daydream' at Bell Sound, for MGM in on September 15, 1965 in New York". I gave you two, now your turn! Beach boys Brian at the board with Carl as engineer Steve Desper looks on.png Tory Brainard at Bell Sound Studios.jpg

Alex Chilton not what you would typically think of first but he produced some good albums by one of my favorite bands the Cramps. I'll have to think of some more traditional ones to post later

I'm re reading Careless Love, and I'm to the part where Elvis has brought Bill Porter out on the road to do the house mixes. I'd forgotten that.

Jan of Jan and Dean with engineer Harold Lanky Linstrot. Lanky did a fine job on two of Julie London's later LPs, Easy Does It and With Body and Soul, but worked with a number of 60s artists including, well , Jan and Dean.

NB I appreciate his work for Julie since so many of her later albums were poorly or indifferently recorded, a sharp contrast to the magnificent recording of her early LPs.
