    Thanks!

I bought the Deluxe Edition of "Physical Graffiti" and John Surman's "Saltash Bells"

As I wrote in post 333, judging from the samples it seems to be mono. Can you confirm that?

The samples of stereo CDs on Amazon seem much more transparent to me. For a live album I’d prefer stereo because of the more natural soundstage – unless it is an especially bad mix.

I wonder if the HDtracks version isn’t compressed a bit. The original 1987 MCA CD has DR 12 according to the DR database.

Because they just announced a team to do just that and it takes time to get things up and running.

They don't need a team to display what prostudiomasters and HDtracks displays as a minimum. They don't even do that.

The Ella Fitzgerald Song Book albums are currently available as hi-rez downloads. No one site has all of them, but between HDTracks, Ponomusic and Prostudiomasters, you can find all of them.

The Cole Porter and Irving Berlin songbooks seem to be available only as 96/24, while all the others are also available as 192/24. I wonder if anyone knows why.

The Ella Fitzgerald Song Book albums are:
    - Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Cole Porter Songbook (1956)
    - Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Rodgers & Hart Songbook (1956)
    - Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Duke Ellington Songbook (1957)
    - Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Irving Berlin Songbook (1958)
    - Ella Fitzgerald Sings the George and Ira Gershwin Songbook (1959)
    - Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Harold Arlen Songbook (1961)
    - Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Jerome Kern Songbook (1963)
    - Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Johnny Mercer Songbook (1964)

I just purchased it from livedownloads.com for the $17.95 and got a confirmation of my order. I don't see that price, even when I refresh.

Couldn't find the Cole Porter at HDTracks; at Pono it was 44.1;and ProStudioMasters displayed the title only to advise that it was not for sale. (I am in the U.S.)

I must admit I am pretty satisfied with the DCC.

Not really a big deal for me. It's kind of like a buy one and get the second at a 30% discount, and most of us go for those types of deals form time to time.

Of course this is not a problem for me. Sadly, restricting my purchases to only two at a time would be more of a problem.

Yeah, thanks for that tip. I probably would have never looked there if not for your post. Great price!

I bought the Zep and Chaka with the coupon. Both are sounding pretty good.

I got the Zep from Live Downlaods for the better price. Thanks jonboy71.

I'm seriously considering the Bread set from HDtracks along with the Beach Boys latest issue. I got the later for free so I'm very glad to buy the 88k version. Yep, I'm pretty anal.

Yeah I jumped on the Zeppelin late last night when I saw the coupon figuring I wouldn't get much better of a deal.

I am sort of shocked that the hi-res Paul Simon catalog is still not released over here. I figured they'd show up this week. Qobuz has had them for two weeks. And why didn't they release the expanded Academy of Music? I am thinking about getting the Beach Boys, but a lot of those takes are just goofs. Not sure its worth the price of admission.

From the sounds of it Pono plan to do more than what little the other sites do. They did state they were working on a standard so they are still a work in progress.

And that's great but as I mentioned before what's wrong with posting what information is available already and improving it when they can?

the information posted by their competitors is borderline useless. I think Pono is aiming to do something that's actually worthwhile.

What does the program mean by "cut-off frequency"?

Funny you should ask...I wondered the same and emailed the developer for an explanation.
