They (Strypes) sound good but they are so young I feel creepy just listening to them.

    I think these comply:
    The Alabama Shakes
    Cage the Elephant
    Screaming Females

    Royal Blood

    and FIDLAR

 I think the Strypes look delinquent enough to make me expect a lot of noise. They do a pretty good cover of Nick Lowe's Heart of the City, too.

I like what I've heard by Screaming Females. I just need to hear more.

    That FIDLAR song rocked.

As long as I don't have to date them, I'm fine. Anyhow, they've got swagger beyond their tender years:

(I did think of a few more but their first albums all came out in 2008/09, so that's it for now).

45AD is five friends who dress well and drink heavily. We describe our music as a truck full of Cock Sparrer records crashing into a truck full of Otis Redding records. Maximum Oi'N'B!

That was great! New album in the works? I had not heard that song before.

Yes, Little Victories. I think it drops on July 24 and is up for pre-order already on Amazon.co.uk but not in the US yet.

A thread about current music on SHTV. Be still, my beating heart!

The one that blows my mind is Dirty Loops:

Oh yeah, here's another group I'm huge into. I figure since this is a largely Beatles-centric forum, this'll keep us from going off the rails.

(she technically should count, though the "Metropolis" EP came out in 2007)
Selah Sue (though I was disappointed by her second album, the first is still a favourite of mine)
