great news...lets hope for an audio/video of the manchester show broadcast...live velvet green is awesome!
Yes. Wilson is currently working on 5.1 & stereo remixes. Wilson will also be doing the same for Heavy Horses and Stormwatch.
Great. Songs from the Wood is my favorite Tull album. I assume that Too Old to Rock n Roll is still expected to be out prior.
I never thought they would get to these three, including SFTW.........goodness, the pocket seems lighter already. Great news!! Will we get to Broadsword?? We can skip A.
Anderson mentioned in an interview that currently there are no plans for Wilson to do any of the 1980s releases. That of course could change down the road.
I don't really care for Wilson remixes, but I love this album, so I might buy if there is sufficient extra material.
Haven't posted it yet (he doesn't play here for another month) and may not even use that bit, but here's what he said: The experience is usually quite positive because I'm not the guy having to lay out the mixes and do all the work. Stephen Wilson does it and currently he's embaaking on Songs from the Wood... He talks a bit more about how vinyl restrictions often dictated album sequencing-- for example, how there's usually a soft track at the end of a Tull side.
My favourite Jethro Tull album, but also may depend on the extras too as I already have 2 CDs (and LP) of SFTW.
I'm hoping Wilson goes all the way to Rock Island. Drum remixing of the 1981-89 stuff and vocal remixing and layering of the 87-89 stuff plus plenty of bonus stuff would make these the best Tull remixes to get because they would have the most improvement in sound. I'm really looking forward to Too old with it's extra tracks. Could end up being a pretty solid year for Tull in the studio
