The Doors are one of my all time favorite bands that I've been listening to since the beginning. Their music has stayed fresh for me and out of all the other bands that I have been listening to for 50 years I play them the most.

So that got tapes from a collector. That narrows it down. I wonder if there will be any generation issues like there was with the Matrix tapes.

He's most likely referring to the London Fog tapes, and the masters of the Matrix shows. But who knows, there could be some other goodies
like the Nola show or maybe bakersfield. If the quality is awesome, I still hope they release it beet yer boot style.

I'd like to see the first two albums released on cd in mono, and have the 2nd disc be a show.

What was that atrocious campaign from a few years ago, Year of The Doors? Something like that? Certainly the 50th anniversary can top that.

    Is Doors, is good.

  8. A Krieger quote form the OP's link:

    'I don't know if they're multi-tracks or two-tracks, but they're definitely tape.'

Well thanks for clearing that up! Glad he still knows what tape is.

Have they found a good tape of Paris Blues yet?

Well, hopefully at least the original mixes will be properly reissued & back in print (and tastefully mastered, too).

Finally got FULL CIRCLE after all these years and endless curiosity about it. I like OTHER VOICES but don't need another one, y'know? Well, FULL CIRCLE is something else completely. And I've been spinning the Audio Fidelity 4.0 SACD of THE BEST OF THE DOORS plus a recently acquired CD version of ABSOLUTELY LIVE I'd never seen/heard anywhere before that's on one disc with a completely different cover. I think it's dated 1996 or so and I don't know how different it is or what ... just that I'd never seen it housed in that cover before. I'll find out what its story is when iI play it, I guess.

I have the core catalog plus other stuff.

Unless they issue a mono set, singles collection, the unreleased L.A. woman box set, or something really cool, I'm not biting.

More like the constant drip of material you have heard only repackaged.

Time for a good Matrix release. I've still yet to buy the Matrix album (only Doors album I don't own) in hopes of an improved release.

  24. Looking in to my crystal ball I see... an RSD colored vinyl of 13.

A 100% guess on my part but all I expect is a comp/greatest hits. And maybe the 1,000th reissue of their first album.
