Haven't seen one of these threads in a while, but feel free to post it if I missed one. Do you make music? In a band? Share your stuff here! My band Bread & Breakfast just released our first album "Toast!" It's stylistically and sonically pretty varied/inconsistent, but we made it for nothing and to have fun. It's out on Spotify for streaming here: Toast! and also on iTunes to purchase here: ā€ˇToast! by Bread & Breakfast We appreciate any listens! Share your stuff and any cool backstories you have to your music!
Here's a song I wrote about 4 or 5 years ago when I first started fiddling around with Toontrack's EZDrummer program. I played everything (except drums of course). It's an instrumental as is most of my stuff.
Here are a couple of what I call "hillbilly songs" that I wrote and recorded at home. Any suggestions for better recording techniques and/or mixing are welcome, of course. Back Home https://soundcloud.com/blake-alan-3/back-home Every Dime I Make https://soundcloud.com/blake-alan-3/every-dime-i-make

Here's my stuff: http://alonetone.com/andyr/tracks Most recent (Nov 2015) at the top. Over all, it's a mixture of rock, blues/rock-pop, folkie, wotevers... I used to front a couple of bands many years ago, but it was all far too stressful, I gave up around 2000 or so. Then the missus got me back into the idea of making music, and I turned to home recording. Some of them are really old songs - I've got a huge list of stuff I want to record that I'll never get round to - but most of them get recorded as they're written. Unless otherwise specified in the "About" blurbs, all instruments, lead vox, backing vox, and choirs are me. Any drums are a drum machine programmed by me. Occasionally there's some natural percussion stuff, but I'm a guitarist really - so ain't got no natural born sense of rhythm! The band I am in has a whole bunch of free stuff on bandcamp if you're interested. Feel free to pay for it too if you do like it! The local entertainment guide has given us a couple album of the years and best band of the year in 2013 (if that helps). Musically we are influenced by the Velvet Underground, Kinks, Ween, Beefheart, Pavement, etc., etc. https://the-flowersofevil.bandcamp.com/album/dreamhead
Thank you. One day I'll figure out how to properly mix and master my stuff. Until then it's basically a slam-bam approach. Tweak a few levels, a touch of EQ and then hit save. I'm planning to post a new track soon, I'll add it here when I do.
From 2015... This is a song I wrote about my memories of skateboarding at night through the suburban neighborhoods of South Florida: Here is a cover another project I did of Wings' "Live and Let Die" that I think came out pretty darn good (full blown production with horns and strings and stuff too): http://wiaiwya-agirlandagun.blogspot.com/2015/06/live-and-let-die-by-elderly.html
I'm working on a concept album with a friend halfway across the country. Ordinarily I get bored of songwriting quickly, but by basing it around a concept I'm still inspired a year and a half later (well, the project was born from ideas we had in late 2014 but I started it last spring). The concept is basically just different characters in the music business (executives, independent bands, hit machines, rebellious punk types, etc) reacting to the industry and kts practices - vague enough that I don't need to write a plot synopsis, but specific enough that I'm not overwhelmed picking a topic for a song. There will be eleven tracks on the album. One of them is 100% written, I just need to record a good demo. Two of them are nearing completion, but need lyrical tweaks and musical enhancements. Some are more complete than others; most of them are either a verse or a chord sequence or just some kind of idea at this point. There's only one song that we haven't had any ideas for at all. The problem is, apart from horribly recorded, disconnected demos, I don't have anything to post here, due in no small part to the fact that I've never actually met the other musician in person. I'm also a little bit worried that the picture I used for the album cover might be copyrighted, although the only site on the internet I can find it was literally called Hipster Images or something like that (it's a through-the-windshield shot of a car on a bridge in a storm, the edges look burned like an old-timey photograph). I'm not sure if lawyers are too mainstream for Hipster Images or whatever it was called (the site title had "hipster" in it), so I'm a bit leery about releasing anything for fear of getting my ass sued off. So, I can kinda contribute... but not really.
My band's stuff can be accessed via the link below. The main songwriter is really into the Dead and Dylan; I'm really into Rush. We think the combination is pretty groovy.
