Love the gloss white. I'd still rather have a SOTA Moonbeam.

And the sub. I guess this will interest (and justify) all those who have continually doubted the phenolic sub.

I'd be interested to find out if the new feet would add anything to my '94 Planar 3

Prefer a matt finish myself like on my old P3 2000.

Nice looking table. I would not go looking for a white finish but that one looks great, especially with that platter.
Now, I wonder what it sounds like?

Wonder where this is going to fit into their lineup? Replacing the RP3? The white one looks fantastic.

I wonder if I can swap my early 80s Rega Planar 3 for one of these ?

I have my 80s Planar 3 and will not be selling it! Paid 100 quid for it a couple of years ago, it was one of my best buys ever.
The original Planar 3 is a really good deck, I also have an RP6 and if money was tight I would sell RP6 and could happily live with the Planar.

I do prefer the looks of this "new one". Amazing all of the improvements
over the years. If they've improved their quality control they should have
    a winner here.

    Anybody seen a price?

Just really getting into the game and decided to get an RP3. Good idea to wait for this one or will there be some wrinkles to iron out? Is it likely that I'll be able to grab a clearanced RP3 in the next few weeks?

Doubt there will be any wrinkles, Rega has been very good over the years with making sure that new products have the bugs worked out of them and not using their customer base for product development and QC. Just a great sounding table for it's price point. It keeps getting repeated about buying a Rega table - It's a no brainer".

This is of course all speculation, but given their past track record it's probably going to be true. I don't see them releasing new tables with problems or so poorly designed it gets dropped after a year or two like other "quality" turntable manufacturers.

I don't know. Hopefully they'll run them in at the factory and ensure they have no wobble when the customer gets it or at least explain openely that you need to reseat the sub and run it in for a good 12 hours to get it to spin flat. Of course I wouldn't trade my RP6 now for anything less than a VPI Classic

Well going from a VPI Classic 2 to a RP10 I can say there is no comparison in my books. Very different and improved sound to my ears.

This should mean they replace the 1 and 6 at least too? Otherwise a very confusing range with the new 3 and current 6.

Has Rega revealed when they'll start selling them? Anyone got a guess?

Interesting, been thinking about getting an RP3 or RP6 later this year. This changes things, although I wish it included the tt-psu.
