Are you suggesting that they filmed the ending of Force Awakens and whatever scenes take place there in episode 8 at the same time?

No, not until the Rey lightsaber scene in VII.

    Well, there's sort-of-flashbacks in Rey's vision...

That was technically more of a "vision." But yeah, it was a clever way to show a flashback.

I personally don't see a straight flashback appearing in a SW film, but I could be wrong.

I'm suggesting it is a distinct possibility that the exterior stuff was all shot at one time, yes. Due to the fact that it's hard to get access to that Island and Ireland kind of gave them a pass to let them film there. Just a suspicion with zero proof. I keep reading that there's a 'cave' or 'cave scenes' that are on the island. Surely if those type of scenes do materialize they will all be from sound-stages at Pinewood.

Harrison Ford won't be in Episode 8 because he will be in Blade Runner 2. Filming starts this summer. Ryan Gosling will stare. Dennis Villeneuve would be directing.

Harrison is 70 something yrs old. His lead days are over. He doesnt really fit the supporting actor role. So, the money and the nostalgia factor is about it. I have better feelings about Blade Runner II than I do about another Indianna Jones rehash. He missed or they missed the boat 20 years ago to do another Indianna Jones film.

Depending on the angle they take on Blade Runner, it could be inner'estingly done. Of course, it could be stoopid also. I dont care to see Ford running around in the noir drizzle hanging from buildings with blood running from a cut forhead.

But some shadowy washed up iconic cop figure in a brand new original Blade Runner story? That might be cool.

I'd rather they just left it alone. There's multiple Indiana Jones and Star Wars films. There's only one Blade Runner.

Shh! Don't give anybody any ideas! (Even though I don't remember Witness as being that bad...)

Since Harrison Ford played Jack Ryan in Patriot Games and Clear And Present Danger, if they wanted to adapt any of the recent "Tom Clancy" novels -the ones where Ryan is now President- Ford could probably pull it off, considering in the latest book Jack Ryan is at least in his mid sixties...

How about a sequel to Regarding Henry while we're at it?

I'm up for it! He goes out for cigarettes again and can you believe it? It happens again! What are the odds? Then he remembers gray carpet and wants to go home.

Okay, I'm getting carried away now.

This seems like an obvious project, especially with our culture's love of trilogies.

This one would make sense, and it would kind of double as kind of a thematic sequel to AIR FORCE ONE. (i.e. a POTUS who kicks ass and takes names). Couldn't be worse than the last two Jack Ryan movies at any rate. (The Affleck one and the Chris Pine one)

Witness is a great movie. Like Blade Runner, it doesn't need a sequel.

I suppose the beauty of all these Ford sequels years later is they can be ignored!

Crystal Skull doesn't exist in my Indiana Jones world!

You guys are missing the sequel of all sequels that would be the ultimate crossover in Harrison Ford's oeuvre.

    The Fugitive 2: Frantic
Not only is he on the run but his wife is missing too.

    or

    The Fugitive 2: Presumed Innocent
He's broken his wife out of prison and now they're on the run.

I do think another Clancy adaptation is the best idea of the bunch to fill out Ford's Jack Ryan trilogy.

Yeah, as far as I'm concerned, it's still the Indiana Jones trilogy. The aptly titled Last Crusade ended perfectly with Indy and his companions riding off into the sunset.

The Irish Times article below also suggests they did the VII and VIII stuff on Skellig Michael all at the same time.

JJ Abrams ‘can’t believe’ filming allowed on Skellig Michael »

I think the "typo or spoiler" reference refers to "sonsational." He's probably just messing with us - is Finn the son of someone?
