I just got "Minstrel In The Gallery" a very fine album indeed. Requiem sounds a bit Simon& Garfunkel.

I've never heard This Was, and lost touch with Tull after Songs from the Wood, but everything in between is 8-10 with me. Aqualung is a bit overrated, and War Child is severely underrated IMO.

"This Was" and "Stand Up" tie for first, then probably:

    "Aqualung"
    "Benefit"

    I prefer old Tull, obviously.

I have to threadcrap, though ... I think "Songs from the Wood"
is overrated. Great title, concept, cover ... but the music is rather
liberally spiced with electronics. Ever try to use electronic instruments
in the woods? Ian must've had early solar or very long connective cables ...

Benefit remix 8/10. One version has Teacher and one has Alive and well. Both should be included as well as Witches promise which is what we have on the remix.
Aqualung was 7/10 but the 45th remix gets a 8.5/10 from me. 9 great additional compositions on disc 2 and some great quad versions and alternate versions of some songs.
    Thick as a brick 9/10
A passion play remix 8.5/10. That great extra minute on side 2 really strengthens the final 20 minute run of music after the Hare. I can't get enough of the remixed Left Right and Audition either
Warchild was 6/10 but the remix gets 8.5/10. Great additional album of tracks and another 30 minutes of individual classical compositions if you don't count all the different versions.
Minstrel remix 7.5/10. Summerday sands beefs the ratings slightly
Too old to RnR was 6.5/10 but remix gets 8/10. 4 extra tracks are my faves and remix sound really improves the listen. Pity the band didn't record more songs.
I'll wait for the next remixes to come out to see what new gems are included.

The 1st 3 albums are the only ones I can listen to. Saw them 4 times during this period and they were incredible. Saw them a 5th time when Aqualung came out and felt they were getting a bit too 'commercial'. I couldn't stand Thick As A Brick and haven't heard/listened to any of their music since!
