I noticed that Amazon UK have listings for a number of Pink Floyd vinyl reissues with May and July release dates:

    May 27, 2016

    London 1966/1967
The Piper at the Gates of Dawn
    A Saucerful of Secrets
    Ummagumma
    More

    July 29, 2016
    Animals
    The Final Cut
    A Momentary Lapse of Reason

Some other albums have also supposedly been released already: Atom Heart Mother, Meddle and Obscured by Clouds.

Although no label has been assigned on Amazon UK, Amazon Japan is listing Parlophone as the label.

I haven't seen much about these vinyl releases online. Does anyone have any information about them?

The optimistic part of me hopes for newly AAA reissues, but the realistic part of me thinks we're going to get the 2011 CD remasters on vinyl. The realistic part will be 100% happy to be proven wrong

It does appear from the information on Amazon UK that these may be the 2011 remasters (track titles are identified as such)...

Optimistic that Animals will be good, decent originals are kinda hard to come by.

Me too. £16 for Animals is worth a gamble. Picked up Final Cut too.

Yes...that's certainly possible. Might just be a cut-and-paste job by Amazon from the CD info; they've done that before.

From dinking around and trying to see how their tracklists are put together, as far as consistency across the releases, there is none.
It just looks like a quicky cut and paste info fill.

No reason to believe this is legitimate, especially if three are already supposed to be out.

Here's hoping. I was just wondering, as I looked at the eye-watering prices of UK originals, why someone hasn't reissued these, maybe in a box set even, like the Rolling Stones box sets from a few years ago. It would be great if they were AAA like the Beatles in Mono but I would settle for something along the lines of the Stones sets.

  17. They look euro boots I've seen around. Prove me wrong

Yeah, nothing on PinkFloyd.com & the amazon descriptions are vague, they would have a bigger announcement.

I think the pre-order price would be higher, than 16 quid.

    These sound a very iffy

If they are dodgy bootlegs I suspect a very short shelf life will ensue on the likes of *mazon.
I would like a new AAA LP of "Animals" 'though to replace my off-centre, scratchy (damn those cardboard inners) original. :)

  20. I see some of these as colored vinyl in Seattle all the time: Animals, Mother Clouds. All euro boots.

Seems odd they would be on the parlophone label, weren't they originally on Harvest. Also, didn't UMG retain the Parlophone label for the Beatles, and Pink Floyd are with Warners (at least until their contract expires this year).

I've definitely seen this Meddle bootleg at Easy Street (or one very similar to it):

Warner Music Group has been the parent company of Parlophone since 2013.
When Universal Music Group bought EMI they sold off Parlophone to Warners.
The Beatles stayed with UMG as part of Capital. All very confusing.
The recent Bowie reissues were released under the Parlophone label as well.

I broke down and just scored an original Japanese press of Animals from Discogs, I am an impatient man.
