I think the Creedence release was a flop. Every store had it and none of my local store sold sny

They didn't order (or receive) any. This location is a bit of a mess. At least my gift card worked this time. Saw video from Metallica's performance at the Berkley store earlier this afternoon - looked cool.

I think we were at the same place. This store receives more RSD stuff then anyone. The Bieber girls were upset, when they ran out. I purchased 55 total items, some to flip down the road, I took a gamble on the Monkees box and bought 11 or them, 3 to keep, 8 to flip during the holiday.

I snagged it without knowing about the cool booklet and the download card for 11 more tracks (!). Those were nice surprises!

Picked up Doors 7" and 3-LP set, Coltrane 10", Moody Blues, Hendrix.

Wanted more, but did want to sleep in my own bed tonight.

If I remember correctly, the original UK "Idle Race" LP was on Liberty, not Parlophone so that may have something to do with the sleeve design on the RSD issue. Also, the original wasn't a gatefold either.

    Emmylou Harris' Wrecking Ball:

"Pressed at Record Industry on 3 180 gm LPs, remastered for vinyl by Joe Gastwirt."

Sometime said Chris Bellman mastered this. Apparently, not do.

OK, as I said supra, got Wrecking Ball and Metallica cd early and local. Went to Nashville, hit 5 places. At the 4th stop in Nashvegas, Lush box, Afrika Bombata, and rhe Lips cd. At the last place, picked up an impulse Horses Live.

I picked up the Flaming Lips CD. What a dreadful, sub-bootleg disappointment. At least it wasn't a $25 LP in crazy packaging, I guess.

And to be clear, I was excited about this one -- I'm not just grumping. What the "remix" is is just making Ronald Jones's guitar the thing that is pretty much IT in the mix. The other instruments aren't just mixed low, they're there but totally muffled and off in the distance, like the rest of the band is in a room a few doors down the hall.

Just opened Patti Smith "Horses Live". Says recorded to 2" Analog tape and Mixed to 1/2" Analog Tape. Both in house at Electric Lady Studios. So far so good. Now to spin it and see haw it sounds.

Honestly, how many time can they resale the same songs.

CCR is not the Beatles. That audience has not grown all that much.

I'm puzzled about this: is it an archival recording circa the original recording sessions? Or something done more recently?
