I put together a 2cd set with the same premise a few years ago, except that I extended it into the Island years since they did two Island albums before breaking up (and it also let me finish with Rastaman Chant). I think every song that otherwise made my 2cd made your 4cd as well. I find it sad that Peter and Bunny's place in history has been minimised to the point that most people see the Wailers merely as 'Bob's backing group'.

I don't know if I'm proud of it, but I enjoy listening to my 12 part Solo Beatles playlist/comps, covering 1970 thru the Anthology-era. I also did a similar 7 disc construct for Cheap Trick. I run a lot, so I need these huge/expansive playlists to keep my ears interested and my mind off the pain. The Beatles one is great for a 3 hour run.
The heart of Latin-infected surf according to my lights: 1. Latin’ia (The Sentinals) (July 1962) 2. El Toro (The Surfmen) (September 1962) 3. Surfin’ At Mazatland (The Centurions) (February 1963) 4. El Conquistador (The Chantays) (March 1963) 5. El Tecolote (Calvin Cool) (May 1963) 6. Latin Soul (The Sentinals) (May ? 1963) 7. Pintor (The Pharos) (May 1963) 8. Bombora (The Atlantics) (July 1963) 9. Latin Soul (The Original Surfaris) (August ? 1963) 10. El Gato (The Chandelles) (November 1963) 11. Malagueña (The Trashmen) (January 1964) 12. K-39 (The Challengers) (May 1964) 13. Mar Gaya (The Fender IV) (September 1964) 14. Escondido (The Torquays) (1964) Honorable mentions: 1. The Mexican (The Fentones) (April 1962) 2. The Mexican (Digger Revell’s Denvermen) (after April 1962) 3. Runky (Charles Wright And The Malibus) (after July ? 1962) 4. Sanjuro (The Sentinals) (April 1963) 5. Siboney (Johnny Fortune) (September 1963) 6. Bombora (The Surfaris) (1964 ?) 7. Corrido Twist (The Venturas) (1964 ?) 8. Madalena (The Mockers) (1965) This last track, although the composition credit is different, sounds to me like a cover of El Tecolote (written by Shorty Rogers, the real name of Calvin Cool). Then there’s the tangy Tequila by The Champs and its numberless descendants: Bacardi (Ralph Marterie; The Torquettes), Scorpion (The Carnations), Tor-Chula (The Sentinals), Kalani Wipeout (The Original Surfaris) etc. etc.; a list to be compiled another day.
This is one I've been working on recently.... it's essentially an expanded version of the "This Is Spinal Tap" soundtrack, with the songs in chronological order and a number of tracks added to fill in the gaps. There are two things I'm not sure of though - 1) Where exactly "Rock 'n' Roll Nightmare" should be. We know two things - one, the show they did the live performance on was clearly meant to be 'Midnight Special', and two, Eric "Stumpy Joe" Childs (wearing a curly wig) was playing drums. That more or less limits the song to 1973-1974 (since Stumpy Joe died shortly after), and since Tap didn't seem to be active in 1973, I'm assuming the song is from the "Intravenus de Milo" era. 2) Whether or not "The Sun Never Sweats" on Break Like The Wind was meant to be a remake. ("Rainy Day Sun" and "All The Way Home" certainly weren't - "Break Like The Wind" and "Clam Caravan" most definitely were.) Hearing it next to the original "Stonehenge", it sounds "vintage", so it's a tough call for that one.

This was a pretty tough one to compile. The theme for June's Monthly Mix group is "Alphabetical." Kinda silly but we like to choose an open theme like this every once in a while as a means to include songs that don't have to stick to a certain subject matter. The idea was to start the mix with either the artist OR song beginning with any letter then each follow-up track would notch that up a letter. I took it a few steps further by including the entire alphabet plus each song title matches the artist's name.
