Can you post if there is an opener and what time she hits the stage?

What time did you get in line, if I may ask?

In line to get up front?
Should it be easy enough to stroll in closer to 7:30?

    No opener.

She was on stage at 8:53.

Great, dramatic performance. Still hate the venue, though.

We got in line at 7:30 and were easily able to snag a spot on the railing of the second balcony with a great view of the stage.

Great show. First time I have seen her.
For those of you who have seen her on previous tours, how did the show compare?

    The venue was OK.
The stage was high enough so the sight lines were OK (at least for someone 5'-10").
On the second and third floor though I would think you need to be right at the balcony railings.
Bars all over the place, so no wait to get a beer (which is a big change over a comparable local venue I go to.)
Exiting could be better (just a funnel to an exit in two places).

    I passed this time around.
The high cost of a ticket, at a Manchester venue I've never been to, and awkward for travel, made me decline this tour.
I have enjoyed the concert web-streams from the summer festivals.
I just wish things were a bit livelier.

BTW the people around me were from Ohio, Boston and 2 hrs away in NJ. I didn't actually meet anyone from NYC. Also it looks like Imelda May was there.

Saw her at The Shrine in LA last night. Absolutely floored. Opened with an amazing rendition of "Chain Of Keys". Was kind of pissed when they day of the show, they announced a second LA show at a better venue (Fonda), on a Friday so no work the next day, and half the price ($32). Should have gone to both. Her live shows are really something special.

I was also at the Shrine show, my first time seeing her. I think I had built up too many years of expectations because while I enjoyed it, I wasn't blown away. It doesn't help that I still haven't fully warmed up to all the songs on The Hope Six Demolition Project, although some of the live renditions made me want to live with the album some more.

I had gone in with lower expectations. Mostly because I had seen some clips of shows from her last tour which seemed underwhelming compared to the 90's. So she exceeded my expectations.
I agree with you about the Hope Six Demolition Project songs.

According to another forum when she met fans after the LA show she said more US shows in spring 2017. Something anchored around Coachella seems to be a popular bet.

I've been a fan of PJ since the sixties.
Back then he had this "gimmick" where he used to split his trousers on stage.
They said it was because he was so "well endowed",just like they used to say about Errol Flynn.
Good old PJ.Amazingly,he's still going strong.Still splitting his pants at the age of 96.

Caught the Glasgow show on Wednesday. Excellent. Mainly material from the last two albums. With 10 musicians on stage they can play any of these songs perfectly and her voice was superb. A great show.
