Actually, does anyone know of a website where you can list a whole bunch of songs to have people vote? Preferably one that isn't full of bugs and viruses, and where people won't have to sign up to vote? I might just try to work on the compilation that I was speaking of above all by myself, haha.

"Meat Light" sounds nice but I'm more in the mood for RAW Meat!
At least if the 'light' version is 3 discs then the full release must be more.
    October then.

Going to guess Little Dots is the second CD of Petit Wazoo material Joe promised sometime ago.

    Just pre-ordered all three!

The new distribution deal is working out well for us, the fans!

Very exciting news! A lot of the Zappa stuff I couldn't get a hold of before for a reasonable price I can get now. I pre-ordered all three of these and I hope Hammersmith Odeon gets a Universal release.

I pre-ordered the Uncle Meat P/O for what seems like a pretty fair price. If it is just a "lite" version, then I'll definitely cancel it and go for the bigger one.

    Oh, GOD ....
I didn't even think that 'Light' would mean.... you know.. LIGHT!

I think that the LIGHT version will be the ONLY one.

Chicago '78 is self-explanatory as a title, but Little Dots...

What I hope for this 3-cd Uncle Meat to include: a disc with the original mix, no extra tracks from the movie, and two discs of outtakes, etc etc.

I read it, but what are you basing your guess on? I hope you're right, of course!

"Little Dots" was a piece the Petit Wazoo performed regularly, but there are no known performances of it by any other Zappa band.

Now that you mention it, you're right. I knew it sounded familiar! Thanks.

Why else would they call it Meat Light if it wasn't a light version of the big Meat?

Oh, yeh, ZFT...OK, maybe they would call it what it isn't.

Edit: I hope if there is a bigger box set it is actually called The Big Meat!

Playing that kind of music and eating meat, you'll never be able to see my aura, then.

I know the Uncle Meat re-release is ready, so suggesting things would be pretty stupid, but anyway: I want more Ray Collins!

    Boy howdy!

Meanwhile I'm sticking to my never-preorder-nuthin policy. At least until I find out more stuff. The drama of delays and deferrals isn't worth $3 in savings.

Furthermore, these Zappa releases are not going to sell out in a couple of minutes, so we're not in a hurry. I got so used to the Grateful Dead "order now or never" procedures, that these "unlimited" editions feel like heaven.
