This is probably an uninformed question, but is the Stark line of succession finished? Ned - dead, Rob - dead, Rickon - dead, Brandon - paralyzed; other issues of higher priority, Benjen - zombified crow (not looking good), Jon - not actually a Stark. There's Sansa & Arya of course, but isn't a male required to continue the house name? (I'm assuming Jon will discover his heritage at some point. Besides, he's Jon Snow.)

I don't know the answer to your question, but it seems to me that Jon IS a Stark, being as his mother is Lyanna Stark.

Well, this series is largely based on medieval traditions. So the questions of who his father may be paramount (a question I THINK has been now been answered in both the books and show).

Well, I don't know about that. Look at little Lyanna Mormont. She rules that house, and she inherited it from her mother.

She was an awesome addition to the storyline. And yep, complicated things in very wonderful ways.

Perfect example. If all that is left are female heirs, then they take over (and hope a male heir is born into the house). Cersei is now queen due to no one else being able to claim succession of the Iron Throne. Lysa Arryn WAS head of the Vale (at least until Robin became of age).

I don't think it's so cut and dried in other words.

Good point. I was too focused on who his papa is.

Sansa fully accepts Jon as a Stark, as do all the folks who backed him (and some who at least benefited later) from his campaign to win castle Stark back from Ramsay -he basically won the right to have that name, and most accept or at least think that Ned was his father anyway, so what better honor to bestow on him than to allow him to be considered 100% Stark.
It will only get sticky and a bit funky once he finds out who his real father was.

Maisie Williams is pumped about Season VII.....I can't repeat what she said here but the bottom line is there's no way to prepare for all the ******** that is going to happen.

    bummer until next summer...
Game of Thrones Season 7 will consist of seven episodes, debuting in Summer 2017, later than its usual release.

    Seems so far off.

Chris from Chicago Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes

Bran being paralyzed doesn't exactly prevent him from fathering children.

Who knows what he gets up to when he wargs into something or someone else! :)

But if he warged into an able-bodied person and fathered a child, it wouldn't have his DNA.

How about if he travels back in time and gets a little randy? ;)

Travels back in time to his own body before the fall? I don't think he was fertile yet.

As mentioned before, a male is preferred but not essential to head a house. Look at the Mormont girl that is the head of Bear Island. Daenerys, assuming things are successful, would be a queen with no male heir. I think it's more based on lineage than a male dominated line.

Here's hoping every episode is and hour-and-a-HALF LONG!

Last season when he went back in time he appeared to be his current age. (I'm just guessing here but I think he had an eye for the ladies as well.) ;)

After all it was Bran-The Builder who helped build the wall at Castle Black. ;)

Oh, that, yeah. I think those are non-corporeal visits, since the people from the past couldn't see him (except the Night King...).
