Maybe Paul should release an album called Ear Candy! As some of you know I've been listening almost non-stop to my compilation of Tug of War and Pipes of Peace. There are many tracks on Pipes that I just could not stand when it was released, but in usual Paul style these tracks, once listened to just grab your ear and won't let go. Currently "The Other Me" is stuck in my head and won't get out, but it is welcome there and I just love the track!

She would have been heavily into Dennis Wilson (and cocaine) at the time.

So how many top 40 hits does Paul have now, if he had 59 then? I'm guessing 65ish?

If this is a U.S. count, off the top of my head So Bad, No More Lonely Nights, Spies Like Us, Press, Twist & Shout (1986 re-release), My Brave Face, Free As A Bird, Real Love and Four Five Seconds need to be added. Am I missing any other Top 40 hits after Say Say Say?

I'm working through my entire Paul collection, and I'm just about finished with Pipes Of Peace (the album, not the bonus cuts. I'm up to Tug Of Peace for now.) It still strikes me how great this remaster sounds. I only wish Broad Street could get a similar remaster.

I wonder how many top 40 hits he has counting US and UK?

These are two of Paul's very best solo albums. Never understood the hate for Pipes, it is a dazzling pop record. Yes, Tug of Peace and Hey Hey are weak, but the rest of the songs are magnificent.

I wouldn't call it dazzling but it's an underrated LP for sure.

What a lovely day it was when I bought these. I went to Best Buy and drove off listening to Ebony And Ivory and It's Not On blasting through some farm land. One of those days that can not be replicated or repeated

By the way, the POP bonus audio says: It's Not On (demo)
But I think it's the song itself.
On the video, Paul and Martin are really producing it.
It's a very weird song but as I love weird McCartney tracks, that's my cup of tea.

I think I'll live :D although I'd really like to see it.

That would be too much money to spend on that set, when that video would be all I wanted to see

Speaking on Pipes of Peace, I think

    Average Person
    Keep Under Cover
    Sweetest Little Show

    these 3 tracks are quite overlooked and underapreciated;

What about the acoustic solo duel on Sweetest Little Show? Plain Wonderful.
Average Person is pure goon comedy with a very Beatley production

As for Keep Under Cover, it's a cool blend of McCartney-ELO-10CC. Pure power pop.
