Sounds pretty excellent out of the box so far! Running it with 0/96's and seems like a great combo.

    Guys,

Do any of you have any experience with Sophia SET 300b Mesh Plates? From what I gathered, user have said not t0 buy Gold Lion or BT, just save and get the Sophias... Just curious if they are that much better?

    Thanks,

120 is the correct bias point (think that it should be listed on page 6 in the manual).

Adjust the hum balancers as needed (if you have any hum, just turn until the hum quiets).

The reason I'm asking is because I had a fuse blow yesterday, but the fuse that was in it and the two spares were all different. I don't know which is the correct one.

He has a 518, and I believe you have a 508. They could be different, I'll try and check my demo unit for you tomorrow morning.

From what I can tell, looks like my 518 has a 5a fuse inside the unit.

Is it the T5AL250V? That's what was in mine. But the two spares were 8 amps.

Yep....that's what I have as well. The label on the unit says 8amps, so I would think 8 should be ok.

I'm going to shoot Tone Imports (Jonathan) a quick message and see what he thinks.....

    GPA,

I have over 300+ hours on my LM 508 IA and I'm loving the sound! Have you tested any pre-amps on the 508? Curious if there are improvement as noted on the 518...

    Thanks,
    IDT :D

    Guys,

I've replaced my stock Shuguang 805 tubes in my LM 508IA with Psvane 805A and it's an improvement across the board; lower floor noise, better bass, much improved imaging/sound-staging and a major decrease in chassis vibration noticed when touching the faceplate/sides. All of this is noted with just 5 hours of use and looking forward to a long night of listening... :D

By the way, I have replaced all of the stock 508IA tubes:thumbsup:

    Hi Again all
I want to ask something ,
i have heard some hum coming from my both speaker with lm 508IA , like 60hz hum (the hum can only be heard when i put my ear in front my speaker like 10cm) .
i have tried lifting the ground from the ac power cord , the hum still there.
unplug all the interconnect cable (only speaker cable connected), the hum still there.
adjusting hum balancer only decrease a little .
strange thing using nfb 4 or 3 the hum decrease lot but still there
have anyone experience this hum also?
    is it normal?
    thanks
