Well so far it looks like they put together the script just before they shoot. What the hell is this mess? This should be the last season.

I like this show but there's one thing that is starting to wear my liking down. Mr. Reddington's limitless knowledge about people. It's starting to really sound scripted now.

loved 'the blacklist' since episode one, but..........the 'kidnapping of everyone on the show" thing is starting to get very very old. get it over with, get lizzy back in the FBI, send the baby with tom to his new show and never mention it again...and get back the villain of the week storylines.

I enjoy each week but hoping they get back to regular cases soon with Liz back in the FBI.

For me it jumped the shark when Liz and Tom got back together. Ridiculous.

Like said before, they should of killed Liz off no fake death..
Kill her character off. The show is very tiresome now.
I would think she would want spend time with her child..

They are pretty nauseating as a couple. Always were.

It's extremely rare that any American network series kills off the star of the show, particularly one who has been there since day one. Sure, they have killed off subordinates and sidekicks, but the star? You can count on the fingers of one hand the number of times that's happened.

Mr. Kaplan will now be a formidable enemy.

The moment James Spader cocks his head off to the side, it's scripted. He's guilty of going over the top a little too often. Sometimes, I think his subtle "human" moments are the best acting Spader does.

I don't see it that way, but they've certainly gone that way before. Red's historically an incredible shot, yet he doesn't get the job done here? At close range? And the gripping of the lawn at the end can simply be seen as "I'm finally 'home'."

No, because the preview for next week's show clearly showed Mr. Kaplan dragging herself through the woods. I would bet that she is formidable enough to have made a Plan B "just in case."

BTW, nobody has commented that Red Reddington is definitely not Lizzie's father, and the Russian guy is the father and her mother appears to be truly and most sincerely dead. Now, exactly why Red has gone all this time to be close to Lizzie is still a good question. And (as I was telling a friend of mine the other day), don't forget Lizzie's childhood memories of being in a terrible housefire and killing a man, and also the fact that Red Reddington has severe burn scars on his back.

It would be a better show is Liz did die..
And bring somebody else to take in a new direction
    It's running on fumes.

I think the best work Spader did was when he was hallucinating in that house last season after Liz died.

Good episode. Seems back on track with a regular case and making some more sense why Liz and Agnus were taken. Loved the part where Spader comments they he'll need to get the Le Carre audio cassettes :D.

I still like the series and bought every season on Blu ray (I only whished they'd be released on UHD BD) but I think I had enough Reddington, enough high rate criminals to get surprised at this point and the plot has become a bit corny with all the baby staff. I'd whished this was the last season for good.
