If you don’t actually like Elton John, as your deficient ratings reflect, truly, why bother? Hang on...is this out of 10 as everyone has been doing, or 5? So confusing...! heheh.
Lost In A Dream = 0 Hi Infidelity = 10 Sometimes you just know that we’ll never really understand each other. Drinking pints together? = probably not! heheh...

The Carpenters I'm only going to rate the true studio albums, disregarding those albums released after Karen's death, compilations, Christmas albums, and live albums. I will base my rating on the number of good/great songs (2 points for each great song, 1 point for each good song) divided by the number of songs on the album times 10 and then rounded. Offering/Ticket To Ride - 9 Close To You - 8 Carpenters (The Tan Album) - 6 A Song For You - 7 Now & Then - 11 Horizon - 13 A Kind Of Hush - 10 Passage - 12 Made In America - 12
I think "Exile" is one of the most over-rated albums ever (it has about five or so good tracks, the rest is filler IMHO) along with "Trout Mask Replica" (unlistenable), "Astral Weeks" (a mood piece with a couple of good songs) and "Pet Sounds" (three or four great songs, led by "Caroline No," but otherwise, "eh" ). Stones songwriting (drugs? complacency? Mick more interested in becoming part of the aristocracy than writing good songs?) dropped off dramatically after "Sticky Fingers." "Some Girls" was the outlier in the decline, but it was followed up with the God-awful "Emotional Rescue." Again, IMHO. .

I'd be interested to see what you consider Exile filler. Pretty much agree with everything else you say though. Although I have some sentimental attachment to Emotional Rescue. Love it.
