I bought this one as well. It sounds good to me so far, although I haven't listened to the whole thing yet. It mentions in the book another Bear Family disc called Christmas Countryside that is Honky Tonk Christmas music, but I can't seem to find any information on it.

The Christmas section of Randy's Rodeo website mentions 2018 for the country-flavored disc.

Thanks for letting me know that. Funny that they mention it when it will not even be available for 2 years.

An interesting design choice on the vinyl version of Matt Dusk's new release, "Old School Yule":

I just got an e-mail that my Jane Lynch vinyl shipped!

....and it's still sitting there as a pre-shipment. WTF? This seems to be an annoying trend lately when using the USPS...

Ok, I have found these photos elsewhere online, but can't find anything on this outside of a digital release. What am I missing?

Nope... I've started noticing this thread over the last few months!

I haven't been able to find any sign of the vinyl either -- only the (sold-out) CD is listed on his Bandcamp page... I'll let you know if someone from his team responds to my question on his Facebook page.

Finally got around to listening to the new Sarah MacLachlan. I'm liking it. Huron Carol is my favorite track.

this is what happens when the shipper doesn't use first class mail and uses media mail, its cheaper. I paid 6 or 7 bucks for something to be shipped one state away and it took 10 days because they used media mail which cost .99 cents and pocketed the rest

    - Uhm, shouldn't the BIGGER question be why the guy that actually initiated the whole vinyl thing and got them to jump on board still hasn't even gotten an email?! ;)

Maybe it's your last name and they're going in order! My last name starts with an 'A'!

Maybe they're shipping based on who ordered first and so on? I was literally their first order! LOL

Just havin' some fun. I'm sure it'll get to me at some point! When I get that email notification! ;)

The "More Sounds Of Christmas" album (Tracks 11-20 here) is long overdue as a standalone CD release.

Just grabbed Johnny Cash and Elvis Christmas LPs at a thrift shop. Both in VG condition. Also grabbed Brian Setzer - Rockin' Rudolph and James Taylor - at Christmas from B&N. Used a 25% off coupon twice (my wife and I)

One Christmas album I'd kill to have in a new pressing is "Twas The Night Before Christmas" which was a staple in our house for many years.
My Mom was one of the Pennsylvanians who sang on that album, you can hear her voice in the ensemble sections on the title track and some of the carols.
She would pull out the original green covered 78 set and play it, over the years the records all broke (fine quality US sand and shellac Decca pressings), then I replaced it with a reissue LP with the Rockwell cover that has a bunch of things that weren't on the original 7 song set. I found a pristine 10" LP which is my go-to when I want to relive those memories of sitting in the living room while my mom played her 78 album telling us stories of her night club singing career and countless bus rides from AC to Philly for rehearsals. She never talked about her time with Warring that much.

Nice! Which Johnny Cash one is it? He has four, some of which are better than others imo. :)
