Apparently Sinbad did dress up as a genie to promote a marathon of Sinbad The Sailor movies on TNT in 1994.

Which might be why Millennials got confused and thought he starred in a genie movie.

This reminds me of another character who would I think would be great in a movie: Adam Strange (a DC comics character).

Quick overview: Adam Strange is an earthman accidentally transported to the planet Rann via teleportation beam. There, he becomes the planet's hero and protector via his intelligence and physical skills. But the effect of the teleportation beam is temporary and he eventually will automatically return to Earth. Then, he must wait until the next teleportation beam can return him to Rann.

 

If "Sahara" had been successful, more Matthew McConaughey as Dirk Pitt movies.

A Robert B Parker "Spenser" movie with Mark Wahlberg as Spencer and Will Smith as Hawk. Honestly, it's like printing money.

 

I was gonna say a 4th Dark Knight film from Nolan - but damn, "Rises" ends on such a perfect note that I'm content!

 

Another film with Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner, and Danny DeVito.
