Elvis said McCartney's version of So Like Candy was the bomb. I'm not ordering unless I dig the band demos, I already have most of the other songs. For a hundred to a buck fifty I better love em.
Hey you joke but I have a promo version of flaming pie that includes Linda's recipes for various types of pies!
Yes, Elvis tried to convince Paul to release it himself. After hearing it, I would say that this is what he was speaking of. A stand out track imo If you like Elvis's version, I'm very confident you'll like Paul's version
In 1989 - 1990 (actually even at the end of 1988 and into 1991) Paul did the most TV interviews and promotions he has ever done. There are dozens upon dozens of interviews from all over the world and all these gifs are quite common to most collectors. I think most come from the many interviews he gave to MTV and VH-1. There are so many fantastic and funny highlights from all these interviews..I think I have 15 DVD's of material and that does not include concert footage! The material he could put into these Deluxe DVD's is astonishing but alas we will get the bare bones yet again.
I think Scott Rodger alluded to this - the cost of licensing tv stuff that's not MPL owned would be prohibitive, apparently.
When we know what the extra item is, I may take you up on that. Tote bags I don't need, but I want to see if there's a bonus disc. Nope. Nor was I able to get the Target-exclusive DVD of the Canadian tour, but someone sent me a file of the parts I wanted. On the other hand, I have the deluxe New after buying the iTunes edition which came out, so I think I'm covered for that. (The Archives are taking up a nice amount of space for me… next to all my first edition CDs, '93 remasters, special editions, and bootlegs.)
That's a shame, since I would assume ITV owns James Paul McCartney — and that means we won't get it on Red Rose Speedway.
I really don't think any of the Archive releases or the "Pure" box itself have gone down the compression highway........
How about "Mumbo" or "Mary Had A Little Lamb"- I heard Elvis C had a fondness for the early Wings period......
Agreed, just hoping that in order to try and "force" some sort of difference in sound to distinguish it from the original, that they don't in fact mess it up!
You would think they'd want to license that show on video while there's still a wee bit of money to be made off it. What good does sitting on it do?
Busy as in a lot of promotion like that unboxing video will be made will be released? Loads of interviews? Bonus tracks that didn't make the album for download on Paul's website? I'm hoping for all of it.
It has been a long wait since the "TOW" and "POP" boxes even though the "Pure" box was a nice surprise (IMHO) last summer!
