That title sounds like a Joel Osteen book from the mirror universe.

Why all the negativity? It's exciting to think he's come up with something new.

Yeah it's surprising me a bit too, I love most things Floyd (yes even The Final Cut), and really enjoyed all of Waters' solo output (yes even Radio KAOS), so I'm very excited for some new material.

The only thing more annoying than Roger Waters not releasing anything new (there's been several threads bemoaning that) is Roger Waters releasing something new, apparently!

Buck up soldier. Or put on a Cars CD if that scratches your itch.

Should be good party material .

  12. I'm interested in anything new from him. I don't like all his stuff but I'm glad he's still creating. Hopefully he's finally got over his father's death some 70 years or so ago. As far as social commentary goes, bring it on. The world really needs some of that these days.

Maybe one thing we can all agree on: the album should be impressive on headphones.

Haha, I was four months old when his last album came out. I've practically been waiting all my life

He released an album in 2005 called Ca Ira.... so unless you're only 12 years old, I dispute the accuracy of your statement. :p

If it is as bad as Amused To Death, I will at least wait another 25 years before I buy another album from him.

I'm glad you bring that up. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it IS an album, and an impressive work imo. I even have two of them (English and French - I happen to like the latter more!).

The payoff from the folks who have previously posted that Waters will never really release another album (and that's a pretty fair number) should be that they stay out of this thread. Or cash.

Can't speak for others. My reaction isn't negative but more neutral. Being a long time fan, the news is somewhat interesting. OTOH, new music from artists in their 60's and 70's doesn't get me excited, like many of the elder members of this forum.
