Grant Life is a rock, but the radio rolled me!

Like I said, I used to buy AM tape. I just never saw that Bicentennial one, probably because by 1976, I started using Capitol tape.

Looking at these old familiar cassettes reminds me of endless happy hours compiling mixtapes.
    Innocent daze indeed.

In another cassette thread, someone posted a link to the Techmoan YouTube channel. I'm using this space to thank him because it's cool.

I love Techmoan. I might have posted that link - I know I've posted at least once, if not several times, when various subjects have come up.

The ones I usually bought were TdK sax 90'mins. Always had to be the maximum time.

Best to get screws v than getting screwed. That applys to 8-Tracks also.

Here's a thrift store LP I picked up today, The Maxell Classical II Sampler, from 1980. Reels, 8-track, and all bias cassette tapes represented on the back :)

I found this at a thrift store too. Also bought primarily for the tape-factor.

    Not exactly blank cassettes, but....

While digging through my boxes of audio-related stuff, I came across these blank J-card inserts. The "Realistic" logo sure brings back a lot of memories.

  16. I have fond memories of making homemade inserts out of 6x4 index cards! I'd fold the index card over a "real" insert, to get the folds right. :)

This family of Scotch Master cassettes were the finest 3M homegrown Scotch cassettes. Superb performers by any standard. And Metafine was in this family (aka Master IV, the first Metal tape ever launched) I love Scotch Master Cassettes, McLover approved. These and Scotch 206/207 and 250 are my favorite Scotch which didn't emanate from a Distillery! Scotch and Scotch at Casa de McLover are favorite matches.

  19. I can almost smell and feel them from just looking at the pictures!
Up in the loft later to see if I can find a few of my own.

  21. I had one very similar to those pictured when I was around 9 years young. I bought two old speakers from a junk shop, stripped them out of their cabinets and wired them up to the single jack socket on my player with thin bell wire. It sounded fantastic!!!!

Won an auction at an online estate sale recently, for $9 got a bunch of prerecorded cassette tapes, drawer, some audio books, etc., and some assorted blanks. Here's four of them. Oh yeah, Kmart! :)

I remember those "MCS" tapes. I had a packet. Can't recall where I got 'em from. JC Penny, maybe?
