Yes...that's where the boots come from for the most part.

I would like to know if these will be in jewel cases. I do not want digi packs. I will just buy the titles separately as I don't want crappy digipacks.

I hope he just skips that era until he gets the rights unless he's working with Universal to release these and make them look like the rest of the series.

Good to know. I thought I remembered seeing multiple promo copies of the TIME FADES AWAY CD in a secondhand record store that always stocked tons of promos of new releases, often before street date. I didn't buy one because they were sawcut or marked or something. How I wish I had grabbed the entire wad of a half-dozen or so!

What are the odds some of these albums will be included in Archives II, if it's ever released? I'd like to avoid double purchases.

The Vol. 1-4 that were released on CD were in jewel cases so hopefully these are as well.

I got those releases separately sans a box set when they came out. Wondering if in a box set they will be digipacks and then separate releases would be digi-packs? Wasn't Vol 1-4 in digipacks as well.

Yes and I think that's the source of the freely available CDR that we've had for some years?

of the 9 albums 6 are remastered for the first time. and 1 has never been on CD before....this is a no-brainer, an expensive no-brainer at that.

i hope neil young still is a part owner of pacific microtronics and these are HDCD encoded like 'stars and bars' and 'on the beach'

Preordered from Amazon. Hopefully the price will come down a little bit between now and release date.

I'm guessing he can make the packages look like all of the rest. Same artwork, with added NYORS emblems. Labels will say "Geffen Records" to replicate the original vinyl, unless that's not possible or necessary.

I got 1-4 in the box set and they were all jewel cases with a very small box around them.

There were three versions of the ORS 1-4 released:

Gold CDs in slipcase, numbered limited edition, mini-lp sleeves.

Cd Jewel case versions in slipcase. Reduced artwork.

Individual cd releases in Jewel cases, full artwork.

Whether these new editions of 5-8 and 8.5-12 are mini-lp or Jewel cases, I hope full artwork is retained.

Still think it should be 9.5-13; Stills should release his own archive set 9.0-9.5

Definitely. I have a copy and it's even a replicated CD too. It wasn't until the 2000s when I started to notice more CD-Rs were being used for some advance/promo copies. It will be nice to have real CD backup copies of TFA.

We're lucky Neil included the entire album of Long May You Run. He could have just put his songs on the disc.
