I see what you mean. All four sides of mine are really dirty/scuffy looking. It might be the type of paper they used for the inner sleeves. Mine will be getting a VPI cleaning before I even give them a play.
I used multiple voodoo juices with my VPI to no avail. For $8 it could well be worth taking a flyer on a copy of this record. Just don't make your expectations too high.
SPANKY & OUR GANG - Like to Get to Know You - Amazon.com Music Spanky & Our Gang - Like To Get To Know You (2016) Japanese import w/bonus tracks $20.39 (it was 26.99 for a long time), two day delivery (for Prime).
I believe mine is off center as well. I'm watching the stylus gently sway. The big problem though is the hole is too small. I got it stuck on my VPI! This one is going back.
Linda Ronstadt "Just One Look" 2-CD set for only #4.99. It's an add-on item so I cancelled a pre-order and re-ordered it with the Ronstadt CD to get it. Linda Ronstadt - Just One Look: The Very Best Of Linda Ronstadt (2CD) - Amazon.com Music
And they'll probably ship the Ronstadt set before the pre-order, completely making the add-on status moot.
But you do, it's just a pre-order instead of an active item. I can see this loophole being shut down at some point. It totally defeats the purpose. And I totally understand why Amazon does this in the first place despite the beneficial shipping rates I'm sure they enjoy.
Don't know if it's been mentioned but there's a ton of stuff on sale at Amazon.fr. If you're shipping outside of the EU, tax is taken off at checkout. Much stuff at 10 Euros (which will wash out to under USD10 (before shipping) after tax removal.
Thanks for the heads up! I noticed a banner plugging Amazon Fr. Prime ~ They're running a promotion for an extra price reduction, on some titles. Does that benefit someone in the U.S.?
Don't know about Amazon France, but someone from the US posted about taking advantage of the free 1-month trial on Amazon Germany. So, maybe worth a shot!
I can't imagine that signing up for Prime in another country would allow you to get free international shipping to the US.
I highly doubt that, too. However, AmazonFr. is currently running a promotion for a price reduction, on some titles. I was just wondering if anyone in the U.S. has actually joined Prime, and seen that deduction in their Cart/Final Billing. Obviously, someone would have to be ordering a large number of items to be able to take advantage of this brief promotion.
No one mentioned free shipping. In the case of Amazon Germany, someone joined purely because certain items were priced for Prime members only. That person got the deal price(s) during their one-month free trial.
Eric Clapton - Live in San Diego (with Special Guest JJ Cale) (3LP) for $18.29 Lowest price I've ever seen.
Here's a good deal. Led Zeppelin - IV (Remastered Original Vinyl) $9.47 from Amazon warehousedeals with Prime. Mine arrived yesterday and is as described, factory sealed, with hype sticker, and no issues. Amazon.com: Buying Choices: Led Zeppelin IV (Remastered Original Vinyl)
I was surprised to see it, too. I ordered a copy; hopefully I don't get a CD even though it clearly says Vinyl in the listing.
