What part of a song you wished it never ended?

Mine is the first 2 minutes of Wishbone Ash´s The king will come.

 

Chicago's "Dialogue (Parts I and II)"

I just love the second section. Funky!

 

The guitar and drum parts of "The End' on Abbey Road

 

The guitar solo on "Jessica" by The Allman Brothers Band. The piano solo is great too, but I can never enjoy it as much as I would if I wasn't anticipating the guitar solo.

 

Can't think of anything I would want to last that long.

 

The mandolin solos on both "Maggie May" and "Mandolin Wind".

The piano solo on Steely Dan's "Fire In The Hole".

The intro to "Gimme Shelter".

 

I don't know about never ending, but sometimes I wish the funky intro to "Tea For One" went around a few more times, with about a dozen more guitars added to the guitar army on top. In my mind I can hear what the next couple of layers of harmonic overdubs would have been, in the sequence, but after that, dying to know what Page would have come up with next!

The trombone solo from Zappa's 'The Grand Wazoo'

 

I love the guitar at the end of Ride Captain Ride, it should extend at least another minute or more before the fade.

 

My personal interpretation is that "I'd wish the feeling I get when I hear ___ " never ends:

"Thunder Road"
"Born To Run"
"Jungleland"

The opening chords, harmonica notes, saxophone leads...to these classic Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band are incredible.

Especially when heard live, however not every single time, but when "just right".

 

The ending solos of Bold As Love and Little Wing, I wish Jimi kept going and going...

 

Ramada Inn by Neil Young and Crazy Horse. This song should last a day at least.

 

The sax solo over those long minor key strings at the end of Walk on the Wild Side.

Also, Carlos' solo on Mother's Daughter on the fade after he goes way up on the fret board and starts wailing.

 

The guitar solo on Freebird.

 

Gracious - Dream (the mellotron 'dream' section that comes in around the 9' mark, waaaaayyy too short)
Gracious - Heaven (Do You Have A Clean Mind section) - awesome track but again waaaaaaayyyy too short, that's prog for 'ya). Capitol actually put this 1:30 section out as a A-side(!) Weird.
Churchills - Pictures In My Mind - absolute perfect 10 stunner prog pop track. Just when the eargasm starts, the song is over at 1:40. That S&*KS!

 

Duane Allman's solos on " Loan Me a Dime" by Boz Scaggs and "Hey, Jude" by Wilson Pickett

 

The outro from Sly & the Family Stone's song "Stand!"

 

George's solo in "Free As A Bird" with the Paul and George harmonies underneath.

 

Sergeant Pepper Inner Groove. I wish it would go on forever and ever.

Between the guitar and orchestra solos it is a very powerful song that I wished didn't fade out so fast.

 

If you have the Skynyrd's Innyrds album... it DOES!

... Not forever. But it doesn't have the fade out.
