Daptone will be releasing via Ever-Soul, Sharon Jones' first recordings from the 1970's as a special RSD item. Once they post the link or send an official email I will try to get it posted here. For now, please check either the RSD list for April 2017 or the Daptone Facebook page.

Sometimes you just need to talk about things and then they happen.

Colemine is releasing Soul Slabs Vol. 1 on RSD that features 22 tracks (from 22 different bands) from their 45 releases on 2LP red vinyl. A black vinyl version is set for later in the year.

Pressed on Daptone Records' reissue subsidiary, EVER-SOUL Records. Just read the daptone email that como mamas did an album wth tommy brenneck, Bosco and Homer Steinweiss. AWESOME. Super excited for that! Out of the wilderness is one of my top 5 favorite daptone singles.

    That's a great one!

I need to nab the 45 before it completely vanishes.

does anyone else have Soulive's 'Rubber Soulive?'

ive had it for years on digital and saw the vinyl was $10 on amazon so i grabbed it. 1st one was super-duper warped. the replacement was flatter but sounds terrible. like AM radio. i saw some other reviews on amazon saying the same thing. do i just have a bad one or are they all like this?

    Hey guys,

Terry from Colemine here, just dropping some details about our official RSD release. It's a 2LP compilation of 22 tracks from our 45 catalog. We did 2000 copies on red vinyl for RSD on HEAVY gatefold, tip-on jackets and each one is gold-foil numbered. We are pretty happy with the overall package and hope you guys dig it as well. We'd love to hear some feedback from you guys post-RSD on what you think of it if you pick it up :)

    Best,
    Terry

Welcome to the board Terry! Thanks for doing what you do. Definitely been enjoying the stuff from your label I've tried so far. Promises is a killer song. Will your site be selling some of the RSD albums for us who don't have a nearby store?

    Welcome Terry!

I'm hoping my local will have the Colemine RSD release.

I've bought some excellent soul 45s and of course the incredible Durand Jones LP from you guys! Keep up the good work!

Glad to hear it! Our storefront, Plaid Room Records, will have them available online on Sunday morning at 8am. Technically, per RSD Pledge rules, the label can't sell directly to consumers, but our shop can. Hope that makes sense. Here's the link to where it will be that morning:

Various Artists Soul Slabs Volume 1

Glad to be here and feel free to hit me up with questions anytime :)
