Oh, I got Volume 2 alright, on release day. I assumed Volume 1 had only had the packaging upgraded to the card sleeve so didn't bother. Now I'm bothered! Thanks!

Now you're talking! Those would make me laugh every time I spotted them on my table.

Als0 get a load of their man buns. Gosh, the Beatles really were ahead of their time.

  6. Judging from John's image, these Pez dispensers seem to be Sgt. Pepper era.

:righton: Thanks - that was thorough, indeed! Hmm, so generally a definite improvement but still with flaws it seems. To buy or not to buy - that is the question I'll be asking myself over the coming days.

Amazon's track listing for the Vinyl 2-LP edition is WRONG. The second LP is just an alternate version of the Pepper album, with the 13 songs in alternate takes/versions.

Of course, but certain tracks are on a higher plane of magical mystery than others IMO. :p

Are you trying to tell me that "Strawberry Fields Forever" resides on a higher plane than "The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill"? Don't say it's true ... ;)

I think he's saying that SSF resides on a higher plane than Bungalow Bill, but question whether he's including Wild Honey Pie in that ascendancy. :yikes:

I would like the original 1963 stereo mix of "I Want To Hold Your Hand" included in such a release.

Although, the song that resides on the highest place is, of course, "Flying" :D

This must be incorrect, but it is strange that someone made the determination that tracks 8 and 9 must be on Side A, so Side B begins with "Lovely Rita".

Apple did a mail-in campaign and found better sources for a number of the songs. For me, it's worth it just for the package. It's in keeping in with design of the 2009 remasters. I hate those old clamshell cases.
