Erin is in her fifties now! Where does the time go, and she sure is ageing gracefully.

Anyway I read the article -- where are the dirty jokes?

She's really good-looking and seems well-adjusted. It's nice to see a former child star wind up with a happy personal life.

I'm confused. How would she know there was a dirty sense of humor if she was a child?

Let's assume Elizabeth Montgomery continued to live for some time beyond the activity of the show. Let's assume Erin Murphy did as well. Let' assume that, unlike us, they had a way of contacting one another...?

Actresses who play younger actresses' mothers also often have a real effect on them, and often have the empathy to stay in touch. Young actresses and actors face a traumatizing event when the stage is struck and their "families" move on to other projects. If you knew you might have that effect on a kid, wouldn't you look into them from time to time?

It's called "clickbait"... and we both fell for it.

I saw Erin Murphy on a talk show in the early 1990s for former child actors. She said she was friends with Montgomery's son, who lived at home, so she did see Elizabeth occasionally, but they weren't real close. She also said Elizabeth had zero pictures, etc of "Bewitched" on the walls, unlike every other thing she ever did.

Met her at one of those conventions. She's very pretty but she went a little overboard on the implants.

I hope she's where she wanted to be in her life. Some stars had trouble working afterwards, once they got typecast in ine role ("Look - up in yhe sky...!""It's a bird!" "It's a plane!" "No - it's a perfect example!").
At least the world of the 1960's no longer had to think of Margaret Hamilton when they thought of what a witch looked like.

I think I've stayed extremely classy -- I resisted posting my joke involving Dick Sargent and Dick York.

I feel like it'd be more on-topic, at least.

I always think of the meddling busybody "Cora the Coffee Lady" whenever Margaret Hamilton comes up.

  22. I was just thinking about her a couple of days ago, watching some episode of season 3. I was wondering what it could do to the development of a pre-age of reason child to "play" regularly in a fiction show like that, and a crazy one about witches to boot!.. In this episode, she was sitting there all cute and quiet, her "witchcraftswomanship" being audited by a bunch of weird and authoritative old ladies (her great ants and grandma) who tested flying object tricks on her...

Glad to learn that Murphy turned out OK after what must have been an ordeal at times... Unless the shooting crew and cast were very patient and sweet with her, of course.
