From Part 2 of the Dan Rather sneak peek:

    The Last Refugee (last verse)

    You'll find my child
    Down by the shore
Digging around for a chain or a bone
Searching the sand for a relic washed up by the sea
    The last refugee

Nothing too impressive here. Typical Roger still using the same old tired references.

Anyone know the inner details of the album? Musicians, producer, recording studio, etc.

Sorry if this has been covered already.

I have to admit, even though the clips are short, I like the overall sound, musically, acoustically, sonically speaking. High Hopes.

Produced by Nigel Godrich, I think.

    No guitar solos.

Producer is Nigel Godrich. A guy with strong opinions and determined to get the best out of the artist. CV: A bunch of Radiohead albums, McCartney's Chaos And Creation, some early Travis albums ++

No guitar solos is rumoured to be a thing. Roger had some grand concept idea. Nigel said it's good but perhaps better for a radio play rather than a rock'n roll record. So it's a looser theme than initially planned.

Just watched this in it's entirety, I rather enjoyed it, thought it was a bit more in depth then most of Dan Rather's interviews. Roger was well spoken as usual. (My opinion of course.) Cheers.

I hope this comes out according to plan. There is still no pre-order listed on Amazon (US). Note: other late May/ early June releases are available for pre-order.

BUMP. Kind of concerned that there is still no pre-order anywhere for such a major release. Maybe it's been pushed back?

Apple's and oranges, one thing has nothing to do with the other. Release date is still the same AFAIK.

The release date is no longer May 19th - it's June 2nd. Wonder what's it all about?!

But, I'm happy to see some americana/folk rock/Laurel Canyon heavyweight players - Jonathan Wilson for example, Lee Pardini from The Dawes, Lucius girls and Beck drummer Joey Waronker.
    Sounds good on paper... :)

Joey Waronker was also in Atoms For Peace with Nigel Godrich. He is a fantastic drummer.

June 2nd, huh? I've got tickets for the show on the next night. Won't give me much time to get acquainted with the new music but looking forward to both anyway.
