I have another album by this band. I like their hardcore/thrash sound. Sounds similar to Pro-Pain.

Thanks for that. Notice I was including shipping in the prices I listed. Your links, including shipping, have Sight Of Day for $17, Detachment for $19, and then the Bandcamp $27. Pretty hefty that last one. I've been eyeing the Discogs price for Detachment for a little while now, but I'm short of money as of now...

Another vote for the new Robyn Hitchcock. As others have said, this is one of the best albums he's ever done, creative, full of fire and that lysergic imagination, with great tunes and performances. The fact that he's managed to pull this off 40 years into his career is something of a small miracle and a wonderful gift.

Some really nice instrumental post-rock in the debut album from Heron called You Are Here Now, and amazingly, pretty much self-released via bandcamp, but professionally recorded live at Kane Memorial Chapel in Kane, PA, by the band's bassist, Eric Morelli, mixed by Matt Bayles (Minus the Bear, Pearl Jam, Caspian, Russian Circles) and mastered by Ed Brooks (Fleet Foxes, REM, Heart, Death Cab For Cutie) ... great stuff, one of my favorite things I've heard so far this year ...

Boomer's Story is my favorite Cooder album!
That's a nice track but 6 mins is just too long for a song without an awesome solo of some sort in the middle. The song is done after 3 mins.

Fair point, perhaps a shorter track would have been better as a taster, great album though.

Agreed, the Fussell album is very nice.

I enjoyed these whilst travelling this weekend:
    Night Sins : Dancing Chrome
Like Drab Majesty but even gothier

    Cold Beat
    : Chaos By Invitation
Reminded me of Blouse's Imperium from a couple of years back. A little bit dreamy and hazy, nice female vocal.
