Kraftwerk 3D - release?

Hi Spotify have just added a version of Robots called 3D. Could this be the sign of the long rumoured live album/ blue ray thingy ma jig from the group?

 

They just posted the album cover on the socials. And iTunes has a preorder of a "best of 3d" set up.

 

They've also posted a picture on Twitter.

I believe it is. On my Facebook Kraftwerk just announced a 4 disc Blueray set with a 228 page book included. 'Der Katalog 3-D'. Recorded 2012-2016.

I guess Vinyl is already 3D compared to an MP3 file!

 

No US Amazon link yet, but Amazon UK has it for sale. Several different purchasing options available. A 3D Blu-Ray set is available or every album live on 8 CD's.

Only a "best of album" though.
The box has the complete works.
I wish there would be a full digital version.

 

Qobuz has the 8 disk set listed. Unfortunately 16/44.1. Hopefully there will be a hi-res version.

Terrible price when you can have the actual box for about that
Will be interesting if the DVD-A actually carries a higher rate. Maybe why Qobuz is only offering 44

 

New recordings: 2012-2016!

Has anyone who's already pre-ordered this got the foggiest idea what is actually is? The Catalogue was the 8 studio albums. This is also called The Catalogue and has 8 discs but it is not the same thing with disc 7 being "surround sound / headphone", whatever that means? Are they remixes like The Mix?
