  1. There are plenty of older mono recordings on SACD that sound wonderful. If anything, mono albums from the 60s are in better condition today than their stereo counterparts. Labels barely touched mono masters for decades as the format fell out of favor with the buying public.

Everyone and their mother were using the stereo masters of popular albums over the past fifty years, introducing far more wear and deterioration.

I suggest you rethink your stance. And maybe listen to mfsl Songs For Swingin Lovers or perhaps mfsl's Surrealistic Pillow. Your comments are bizzare nonsense.

    Who mastered it?
    2000 or 3000 copies?
    Booklet?
    Anyone get theirs yet?
If so has anyone compared it to the Sony mono box?
Can someone post a 30 second clip?

    Too soon? :)

I use the Japanese resealable sleeves they make for the mini LP sleeves. The same ones used in the Beatles MONO box. I bought a large quantity from cdjapan years ago and still have quite a few left, so I haven't had to reorder in awhile. I assume they still carry them.

This is one occasion I prefer jewel-cases. The MFLS Bringing It All Back Home SACD I have is so hard to get in and out of the mini-sleeve. The Can SACD round-cornered jewel-cases on MUTE/SPOON are preferable – strong, elegent and make handling the CD safer and easier.

Use the kind like Analog Productions uses. Those jewel cases are great.

I'm finding it hard to justify the additional cost- £34 - of the mono Bringing It, when I have the stereo. I then wonder why they couldn't just have put the mono versions on the same disk as the stereo versions?

    Milking it?

Milking it. . . yeah probably a component. Also I would guess that Sony wouldn't license them both at the same time to be put on one disc.

It's a good one, I'm glad I have this one. The one that I was most impressed with sonically was the first album. Really a great listening experience on the MFSL mono SACD.

Mastered by Shawn R. Britton. Sounds really darned good-same basic tonal balance as the stereo MFSL.
I got #86 of 3,000 in the mail today.
    No booklet.
    Got mine today.
Not going to compare it to the mono box for a while. Someone else may beat me to it. I compared the previous and prefer the MFSL to the mono box in each case, the first album by a larger margin than the BIABH.

  24. Nice.

I have the correct BIABH number 1458.

I also got a second incorrect from another source number 2079. Again it was the Ry Cooder sacd. Not impressed by MFSL.

My correct copy plays fine and is a great listen.

The other incorrect was number 2077. So that is 2077 and 2079 both sent to UK. One ordered from Diverse Vinyl and the from Isis Dylan mag (in that order).
