That was said after the song was released on the Rarities album in the 80s so maybe he forgot he recorded it right after the Heider Hawaii sessions as a possible track for the album? It makes sense that since Bruce was still a full fledged band member, despite being absent in Hawaii, and he participated in the Heider sessions, that he should get a lead vocal on the album. The same way John and Paul wrote the song for Ringo to have a song on Pepper!

 

I think I'm more excited about this than the Pepper boxset.

Yo people whom have Carl and The Passions/Holland on cd, does anyones copy have the cd's labelled wrong? My Carl and Passions cd is labelled Holland and my Holland cd is labelled Carl and The Passions. Its from the Hollywood and Vine cds from early 2000's
