This seems like a natural event considering The Jayhawks backed Ray on his recent LP. Does anyone have any info on what Ray's plans are?

Ray is almost certainly not touring with The Jayhawks as his back up band and as of right now there are NO confirmed USA shows yet, but it is likely there will be at or around the time Americana part2 is released in the fall -

I just saw the Jayhawks a couple weeks ago at Stuart's Opera House in Nelsonville, Ohio. Beautiful small theatre with no more than maybe 100 seats. When the emcee introduced the opening act by saying that (paraphrasing) the Jayhawks had just backed up this next artist on his latest album, for an instant I thought maybe Ray had shown up unannounced but it turned out to be Wesley Stace (aka John Wesley Harding). The Jayhawks apparently had recorded with him recently too. Bit of a disappointment (never been a big fan of JWH) but the Jayhawks were fabulous!

I saw the Jayhawks in Glasgow last year and thought they were fantastic. I think sharing a stage with Ray would certainly work.
