There is *video* of the Tampa show? I never knew that.

I'll have to track that down.

    Thanks!

I had an ROIO of this show before the official release, and decided to skip it.

A cool idea on paper, but it didn't grab me in execution.

It's a shame Clapton couldn't have stayed 23 his entire life. Nothing but shredding on Spoonful for 20 minutes. How dare him get old and mature and try different styles. Jimi Hendrix must of had the right idea, put out three great records and then die, legacy intact.

I did buy the cd of this one (as amazon has just reminded me,) as a "secret santa" gift for a music loving work colleague. I did listen to it at the time, didnt keep the download though for some reason. I make no apology for posting the Domino's tunes. One regret I do have of my Clapton gig going days is not going to see him when he started playing numerous Domino's tunes again. Got To Get Better is one of my favourite Clapton tunes.

I assume this release will be more popular than the Wynton Marsalis release.

    Whats everyone's opinions Crossroads 2013??

Again, leaves me cold. Not really a Clapton album and I'm not a fan of various artists albums. No complaints about the few tracks that feature him, but all the rest...can do without them. A few nice cameos but by the time get there I'm too bored already. Another dust collector, I'm afraid.

It's not that at all. Clapton, Dylan, Hendrix or whoever can do whatever they want but we don't have to like it or buy it. Some types of music i just don't care for. Top of that list is the crooners closely followed by that fusion jazzy stuff. Its great that artists follow their muse like Neil Young and to some extent Paul Weller but as Mr Young said "If you follow dream you might get lost".

I'd have to agree. There aren't many Clapton-only tracks here, I didn't have the patience to sit through the whole thing when I bought it. Its the Clapton tracks I wanted.

See how much more interest this album gets before moving on to the next album..........which thankfully isn't another live album

All of it or just the Clapton tracks?

Not clear how much of the songs he was on stage for, I assume only the tracks his name is listed against.

Most of it and not just the Clapton tracks. I didn't just buy it for the Clapton tracks.

I don't own it but have watched much of it on youtube and there's some great stuff on this, both Clapton and not.

This one leaves me all warm and fuzzy. I was at the first show at MSG in 2013. Eric came out and played a few numbers then guested on some numbers throughout the evening. Booker T & The MG'S were really tight with Matt Guitar Murphy. The Allman Brothers played a great set to finish off the night. The two discs are a treasure for true guitar lovers. John Mayer and Keith Urban were awesome together doing The Beatles Don't Let Me Down. Disc Two highlights feature Greg Allman doing The Needle And The Damage Done, Keith Richards and Eric and Eric's electric set. The room was hot that night.

Never acquired the Crossroads live album. Maybe I would enjoy it more than I think I would, but it just does not seem like the sort of thing I would ever play. While I do like a number of the musical guests, I would rather hear them play in a different context. This is one of the few Clapton projects I passed on.

I agree, multi-artist collections aren't my cup of tea ... unless it's a Woodstock, Isle of Wright, Atlanta Pop type of thing from the '60's and early 70's.

Maybe if you said "I don't want to hear him do..." Instead of "you don't". I enjoy the Clapton album a lot. I am a Dominos fan first, love the blues side of Eric, all that. A lot of his solo career leaves me cold. But this is a very real sounding album, he is completely committed, and it is one of my favorite of his solo works.

Are you sure that the air conditioning isn't set too high. You seem to be very cold in most of your post. They have them small space heaters that aren't that expensive. That could make your listening room a little more toasty.:agree:
