  1. Agree. Bunny came up with an all-time classic there. 'This Train' is his 'Redemption Song', and of the two I think it's the better song. With Burning Spear as well it was a great time for roots reggae.

Great to see Peter Hammill's Over and Van Der Graaf's Still along with Can - Limited Edition getting a vote. Burning Spear's Man in the Hills was also released in 1976 and remains a favourite of mine.

What I find particularly fascinating about this thread, and others like it, is that these lists seem to disprove the somewhat common misperception that that there wasn't much good music after, say, 1973 or thereabouts. I could probably come up with more, but here's what readily comes to mind:

    Scorpions - Virgin Killer
Judas Priest - Sad Wings of Destiny
    Joni Mitchell - Hejira
Stevie Wonder - Songs in the Key of Life
    Kraftwerk - Radioactivity
David Bowie - Station to Station
    Ramones - Ramones
Genesis - A Trick of the Tail/Wind and Wuthering
    Rush - 2112
    Boston - Boston
Queen - A Day at the Races
    ZZ Top - Tejas
AC/DC - Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap/High Voltage (int.)
Steve Miller - Fly Like an Eagle
    Jean Michel Jarre - Oxygene
Donna Summer - A Love Trilogy
    Heart - Dreamboat Annie
    The Runaways - The Runaways
Bob Marley & the Wailers - Rastaman Vibration
