A box set with two albums?

No he says he has about 150 extra songs he wants to put out from his years with Kiss or solo

  4. He'd probably be better advised to put them on his website for download, as I suspect he'd take a bath on any sort of quality physical product.

This guy doesn't deserve a box set. Give me a break. What next? A Peter Chris box set? Wow.

I'm on the fence about this box set, it all depends on the price and the content included in the set.

It would be nice if the LoveGun demos with the Van Halen brothers would be included but that is wishful thinking.

This box set has been mooted for some time. It will supposedly contain a motherlode of demos and various other bits and pieces.

With Gene, his business sense is in a constant state of conflict with his over-size ego. Outside of Kiss, he is not very saleable, so it would make sense for him to offer downloadable product via his website, rather than physical product. As an egomaniac, though, he imagines the box set as a deluxe item, selling oodles of copies to wealthy Kiss fans. It won't happen, but Gene is a dreamer....

One of my favorite Gene demos...would love for his oft promised box set to see the light of day.

  12. Someone who doesn't deserve a box set, evidently.

I had the 'A$$hole' cd out last weekend and buzzed through it real quick... really tough to listen to because it is compressed and brickwalled to the extreme.
'Sweet and Dirty Love' is the greatest non-KISS KISS song of all time.

I heard it was going to be put out by rhino. I'm ready to buy. I dug the demos from the kiss box set and love gun deluxe.

I have a box set already, and it's the only thing I need to own in relation to Gene Simmons:

    Kiss
    Hotter Than Hell
    Dressed to Kill
    Alive!
    Destroyer
    Rock and Roll Over
    Love Gun
    Alive II

Considering some of his best tunes are on later albums you are missing out. Hell or High Water and Thou Shalt Not come to mind...

He was in that band SMOOCH with Paul Steinley, Ace Freyleigh and Gene Cinnamon. He might be David Gilmore's cousin.
