You know what that room needs? Nothing!

Actually, a tiki bar would be a nice addition... :edthumbs:

VPI started life as a HW19jr. Over the past 25 years have upgraded with TNT composite platter, bearing, clamp, refinished the base, added the JMW10 arm, later the Lyra Delos cart. Next up I want to replace the MDF plinth with a Corian plinth for added rigidity and platter support.

Here's my old friend for 40 years, the Luxman 131. It has a Sumiko arm and a Joseph Grado Signature Series cart.

BTW, if anyone knows of a good aluminum cleaner for the platter, please let me know. The sides are stained from touching, and I haven't found anything to make the metal shine again.
    Thanks,
    C.

Metal polish - like Chrome polish - from your local motorcycle store for a better than new sheen. A LOT of work.. I have had good luck with window cleaner also.

You have kept the same turntable for 40 years. That is impressive.

Those old Luxmans are beautiful! Although I've not really heard one properly - do they sound good?
