I'll be in New York City next week and am hoping to do some music shopping. Any recommendations?

Turntable Lab is excellent! Nice guys, they also have gear. I was just in New York and we visited Good Records, A1 Records, Academy Records (lots of jazz, soul, classical). Good luck!

  5. I'm so with you on this..

The last time I was in NYC to record shop was not good. Everything was overpriced and there were not as many stores as I had hoped.

The low point was seeing a totally trashed copy of McCartney... for 50$.

Good Music in the East Village is excellent. Smallish, but well edited selection.

Yikes! Is there any place that sells popular 70s/80's rock/pop albums in the usual $3-7 price range?
