    Thank you.
I think it sounds good. There is plenty of room for upgrading; it is currently on its second arm after the Fidelity Research one that came with it (always wanted an SME arm and, one of these days, something more exotic on the cart end) but given that my listening area is in an apartment with middling acoustics and a wife(!) there is only so much treatment I can add at the moment.
I will get a slab of some kind to put under it though; the dampened feet on it are not all that efficient in keeping out vibrational interference.

The table is pretty speed-stable, even given that it isn't quartz-locked. With its current arm and cart, it gives good imaging, good texture and very enveloping sound, even from a less-than-ideal system. Just had Stan Getz on there with the " Jazz Samba Encore" album, and the Lux thrives on original pressings like that.

Manimal, thanks, I do recall now that I have heard of "Mothers" before, but I have yet to see it in a store. Will look. Do I need to polish the platter with a drill attachment? :yikes:;)

I've been searching for the acrylic/steel plynth. None to be found. Also asked VPI and they don't have any left, so I'm moving on to option B.

I have an acrylic platter I'm planning on selling. It’s from my Scoutmaster.

LOL thanks, but I would never part with my platter! We're talking plinth, the part that supports the platter and arm

oic... so once again it goes to show its a personal preference... as i go on with tis hifi jourey
i found hifi setup is highly individualistic n one spent, if i may say almost a lifetime as in my case, fine tuning a setup to his or her liking.

From the "Listening on Vinyl" thread my 80s Japanese linear tracker. Fully auto direct drive refurbished by me, hypereliptical stylus. Modest by this thread's standards but I'm super happy with it. I've posted it before on this thread but with a different cart in a different location. Yes I straightened out the rubber footer on the left front......

Could be his sister then ;-) I'm just kidding folks, The picture of Miss Lynn reminded me of Little Richard, he was just too 'feminine' I guess ...
