No, they're too old for an action film. Now it would be Idris Elba and Chiwetel Ejiofor instead...

I really wish someone would tackle Dune and do it justice. Likely impossible for a movie, but maybe an HBO show going 3-4 seasons.

I also wish Blue Note Producer/founder Alfred Lion's story could be made into a movie in a better way than Leonard Chess' story was told in Cadillac Records.

The story of Doc Pomus, his rise as a songwriter and his personal challenges. Colorful, post-WW2 tale set in NY, with lots of characters, joys and heartbreak.

Don't much care for remakes, but...a new version of "Escape From New York", preferably with as little CGI as possible. The original script and execution were way too thin for the rich concept.
Maybe a Japanese director, to give it the crazy edge :)

A Wacky Races movie done in CGI with all of the classic characters and introducing a few new ones including some sons and daughters of the originals.

This pilot gives an idea of what it could be like:

I liked that they took Pat Pending from being an eccentric scientist and made him a full out mad scientist.

With the huge success of Game of Thrones, I'm surprised HBO isn't developing this. I'd love to see it!

  12. A sequel to I Love You, Man. Not because there were any crucial questions left hanging, but because Pete and Syd were fun characters and Paul Rudd and Jason Segal had good onscreen chemistry.

A real shame this didn't get made as a "prequel" (or perhaps "mid-quel") of sorts, say in '83 or thereabouts. It would have been especially fun to see Nicol Williamson reprise his role as Merlin taking a more central part in this new film, and maybe director John Boorman could have re-cast his son Charley Boorman as a young Arthur ("Wart"), which I think would have worked given he'd played the younger Mordred in the original movie. Most of the rest of the cast from the '81 feature could have made cameo appearances where appropriate, but unfortunately it's too late now....

Robert Heinlein's Glory Road would probably make a great sci fi flick. Surprised it's never been done.

    The Incredibles 2, 3, 4, etc...where are they? :(

It would be cool to see some movies based on short story collections. A couple of picks:

Jeanette Winterson - "The World And Other Places"

Henry Rollins - "The First Five"

No, No, No. Do not touch The Deer Hunter.

Not a prequel in the rain,
    No recasting on a train,
Do not make another here or there,
Do not make a sequel anywhere.

I will not watch it made by Fox,
I will not watch it in a box.
Do not mess with classics, can't you see,
Especially The Deer Hunter, let it be.

I would not like it, Sam I am.
