I would however, enjoy this: The Seinfeld Movie. Only if it were real:

I love me some Seinfeld, but they had a disaster with a 42 minute finale. No way they could pull off a full-length feature.

  5. A really good take on any of H.P. Lovecraft's classic, late period tales. Something respectful of the era and spirit in which the stories were written, including with all the horrible suggestions, the inexpressible angle... I know it ain't gonna happen, but I'd love it... Set in New England as it ought to be, early 1900s and all that...

While that was a funny poem, it was a joke.

I thought choosing two of the worst candidates for sequels would have been obvious. Guess not.

    For real this time,
    Midnight Cowboy Reloaded.

    Thanks.

I didn't know if you we being serious or not.

I have no opinion on Midnight Cowboy. Remake away.

And this leaves you wanting for more. I totally understand the appeal of Marilyn Monroe.

Not that I don't like the version that we got, but I would like to see a well made movie version of George Romero's original script of Day of the Dead. It will probably never happen, and if it does, it will probably be horrible like the remakes that have already been made.:hurl:

    A movie about The Who,

    Jake Gyllenhaal as Pete Townshend
    Heath Ledger as Roger Daltrey
    Zach Braff as John Entwistle
    Jason Schwartzman as Keith Moon

3 out of 4 are still alive.. with the right guy to replace Heath, it could still happen.

During the lounge/exotica music revival of the 90's there was talk of a planned biopic about Esquivil but as far as I know it never came to fruition. With the right actor and director I think it could be fun.

Apparently, Oliver Stone's original script for Conan the Barbarian was too over the top to film, budget and effects-wise. I'd like to see that movie.

Reminds me of a DC comic called Blitzkrieg. It was stories of WWII told from the German side. There were only two issues, so it is likely that it fell victim of the DC Implosion.

If I were to make this movie, a certain guy (John Larroquette) would be the main focus.

Yes, he was really in an obscure band called The N.U.D.E.L.E.S and was the founder of that. Unfortunately, he did not sing and did the instrumentation instead.

Yes! Just watched the documentary last night. What a fascinating man. The vision of a sci-fi epic where Orson Welles, Mick Jagger and Salvador Dali play characters while Pink Floyd and Magma create the music. You can't get more epic than that. A bit too epic even for hollywood hence the reason why it was cancelled I guess.

Just like the original cut of "Greed" - too epic is the right phrase. Had that movie seen the light of day, I seriously can't imagine how anyone else could've attempted making a serious sci-fi film anymore. Jodorowsky's Dune would probably be the definitive SciFi movie, maybe even THE ONE movie as well... we'll never know, unfortunately :(
