So this isn't an official 12 inch release at all?

Was thinking about this song this morning:

    "Chime" - Orbital, 1989.
Shout-out... The Live Earl Jive, cfny fm102.1, the spirit of radio, where I
    first heard this track!

"My Telephone (Redial)" - Coldcut 1989, featuring Lisa Stansfield.
Comes complete with swell telephone etiquette rules to live by.

It's originally from Lyn Collins "Think", though it could be a sample of the sample

I don't think it is official. All 12 inch releases of "Abracadabra" I know of used either the album version or single edit.

Oops, Sorry, thought you were inquiring about an original 12 inch of IKO IKO
Due to popularity or movie/film/commercial use some of these received a new lease on life.
Baltimora-Tarzan Boy is a good example. 1993 saw a new single and 12 inch remix for a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie

    Now, it's not extended much (5:02 v. 3:46). However...

"African and White" - China Crisis, 1981.

Nice? Nice?? NICE??? Come on, it's :pineapple:AWESOME:pineapple:! ;)

Sounds like the album version is just an early fade of this full version...

Yesterday I found this European (Made in Germany) Seal - Crazy CD Maxi. I think it's a great song but in this I was mainly interested because of the metallic red paint job (the picture doesn't do it justice). I looks very shiny and marvellous.

Anyway, track 1 seems to be a single version, running 4:30 vs the 4:47 minute album version. Track 2, labeled as "Extended Version" is actually a kind of dub mix that runs a bit longer that the album version (5:09 min) but sounds so different I never would have called it "Extended Version". Track 3, called Krazy, is the real extended (remix) version and runs for 6:26 min. Nice.

Is there a genuine extended versions that sounds like the single version?
