Just getting back into vinyl so curious; are these versions considered the best way to listen to these two titles?
I bought the Animals vinyl from Amazon and it was super warped. It didn't have tics or pops though. I sent it back because of the warping for an exchange. The new copy was slightly less warped but had a lot of tics and pops. I might just get a refund and give up on it. It certainly seemed more lively than my original US copy, but maybe a bit too bright? Just a warning to people thinking about it.
With all my various copies, and no Bernie, I felt the same way, but HALF PRICE for an unedited copy was too sweet to pass up. Until this, @TheVillageRecorder 's $38 inc. shipping was THE best price on the internet !!!!! .

The Division Bell yes. Animals is very good but an early pressing still beats it (my go-to is an early German issue) - as long as you can find a quiet one.
Some people love 'em, some people don't, some suggest other pressings. For the price, I'd grab the Animals. It's a great sounding version, to my ears. Many, many opinions here: New Pink Floyd vinyl reissues
Well, I broke down the 538 pages for you, it essentially covers: 125 pages of debating CD vs Vinyl 101 pages of speculating the source tapes & who mastered it 84 pages of complaints (most mentioning Roger Waters) 59 pages of "I just can't wait to hear this vinyl" 44 pages declaring "my original vinyl copy from ___ country is the absolute best available sounding transfer!" 30 pages discussing prices and shipping info 12 pages incomprehensible rambling vaguely related to Pink Floyd 5 pages discussing The Beatles 2 pages asking "what titles are being released?"
