I think they're uniformly great, but I don't know about the mixes. At that price it's not much of a gamble:cheers:

Canadians go through the same thing when dealing with Amazon.com.

    $8.00 Canadian? That's $6.50 USD.
    Even at $8.00 USD, I'd say it's a bargain.
I've never paid less than $9.00 USD ($11.25 CDN) for shipping to Canada.

It will not ship to my address in the US.. I think they are cracking down a bit on international shipping because this is the 3-4 time it has happened lately and I never had it happen before those times.

Great price though and I would have def. grabbed it if it let me!

Interesting. I've not ordered from Amazon USA lately but had previously never had a problem with most items. With vinyl and music, never had any problems. There are some pretty hefty price splits between .com and .ca, for the same thing factoring exch rate. Why they won't let market forces work (within the import/export rules and taxation here in CA) is beyond me. I guess certain local sellers need protection. I've bought from Amazon.FR and .IT and no issue and saved a lot too although that was back in April/May.

I think its just the Canadian Amazon. They've been doing this for around a year to us US customers. I still order from overseas Amazons all the time. If moneys no good to the Canadians, their loss.

  13. Don't you think the reason they won't ship to the US is to prevent loss... of money?

If I'm paying the same amount as Canadian residents, how are they losing money?

the cost of shipping between US and Canada is prohibitively expensive now. i'm sure that must have something to do with it.

Every now and then this happens on certain items. I've purchased records from Amazon.ca in the last few months and received them.

Then charge more, like some of the European Amazons do. UK ships cheap, but France and Italy and Japan all charge higher shipping costs.

I don't agree with your premise. If that were the case then they should simply charge more for shipping and leave it up to the customer if they still want to pay.

Market forces! Crazy thoughts....cannot allow customers to decide.

  21. No matter how high the cost to the customer?

I don't see why giving the customer the option would be a bad choice. I do feel we have gone too far off topic here, though. We just don't see eye to eye. I will respectfully leave it at that.
